Question of Authentic Walnut : Will the release of oled and 4k drop the cost of typical tvs?
hello, i was wondering if any person in the tv revenue or residence theatre communities thought that with the release of oled (organic light emiting diode) or 4k resolution tvs sometime in 2013, that the value of tvs that aren’t oled or 4k will drop much like common definition tvs dropped in price when large def came out? In situation your asking yourself im hunting at the value of a Panasonic Viera Tcp50st30. THANK YOU

Yes the prices will go down, but not all of a sudden. Like all other electronics, the charges are continually going down. Even when HDTVs came out, the rates on common television didn’t dropped overnight. Also, OLEDs TVs and 4k TVs are still a novelty, with only extremely pricey model are obtainable to the basic public. It will get 2-3 years to become mainstream and to challenge the plasma/lcd/led charges.
This is especially accurate if you want to get a really distinct model, like your case. If you are inclined to wait that model would be when the new models will come out (so the retailers need to promote their previous stock). This is normally in the February-April time frame.
