sometimes I genuinely worry about how I would feel if my ships do not end up canonically together, like if they are paired up with some other character just for the sake of "starting a family" (I mean, starting a family is not the ONLY happy ending to be had, but lets unpack that some other time).
but then i remember how Naruto ended and here I am, still believing that Naruto and Sasuke are soulmates no matter what.
