People keep saying how much they wished they lived on Pandora, and I’m over here thinking ‘when was the last time anyone on that planet washed their hands?’

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how progressive the Borderlands series is???
Like hey, you want well-developed, interesting, varied female characters who aren’t all sexualized and vapid? BORDERLANDS!
You want nonwhite characters who aren’t tokens? BORDERLANDS!
You want canonically LGBT+ characters, AND their being LGBT+ isn’t treated like some huge deal? BORDERLANDS!
Characters dealing with mental illness, trauma, and disabilities? BORDERLANDS!
And the gameplay, storyline, and universe are all amazing on top of it all???
Game devs, take note!
Date a girl that softly sings “skeet skeet mafuckaa, skeet skeet gohdamn” While she shoots people in the face with a Slag submachine gun.
Its feels so strange Waiting for the next Borderlands And wondering what’s going to fill that space in the mean time. Maybe I’ll spend more time outside. Maybe I’ll just stay in and draw. Maybe I’ll write random stuff for someone else to post and read. Maybe I’ll play Fallout, or Stalker and with my box of tissues say “It’s not the same.” Because you know if you do the exact same thing too many times you will eventually grow bored of it. And I don’t want to grow bored Borderlands. Its too awesome for that. I’m just gonna go grab some friends one day when we’re all on holiday and just marathon through all three games. It’ll be great. Handsome Jack’s face beckons for another boot in it, and someone needs to prove that Tannis’ slip into insanity wasn’t in vain.
I love jumping into the air and attacking enemies from above. It feels so right.
The Borderlands games as a whole have really helped me with my fear of aging. The game has such a diverse age range (with the majority being 25-45), it helps me realise that you can be badass no matter your age.
The Borderlands series/world has stopped me from taking my own life many times.
More people should check out ECHOCasts on Twitter. It’s an official twitter page that over time has been run by different characters in Borderlands, including Tina, Moxxi, Handsome Jack and Claptrap. And there are some handy little bits of lore for the universe that can be found there. In-game isn’t the only place to find lore and information about Pandora and the Borderlands universe.
