Black Echoes (which still exists, just Echoes today) was founded in 1976: soul, reggae, disco, north soul -- a crosspoint for British working class club culture and black American and Caribbean music.  Hullo, this tumblr is back back back -- because I’m agitating interest in (and material support) for my book A HIDDEN LANDSCAPE ONCE A WEEK, an anthology featuring conversations and extracts from last year’s conference about the UK music press from the 60s to the early 80s.
