Ever since @creatingblackcharacters' Melanin Beam challenge a few months ago, I've been itching to do more of the Studio Ghibli series- so here's Princess Mononoke!

I was really on the fence about what hairstyle to give Ashitaka, since cutting his hair at the beginning is a crucial part of the beginning of his journey- in the end I decided to give him a classic short cut, with the thinking that he would've had it longer but then shaved it down when he left his village.

Next I think I'll do Chihiro from Spirited Away!
