Ever read Moorcock's Elric Saga?
I actually haven’t, its hugely influential in terms of fantasy and I know that the Elric character type seems to be a major figure fantasy, Geralt, Guts, the Drow, Ultima VII, the villain from Hellboy 2, all of them seem to owe a bit to this specific character. So I have always wondered if I want to go back and read the series, but i’m always kinda nervous that going back to early fantasy and it will be just...bad compared to what has come later. But I have been thinking of trying to get @afriendtokilltime to do like a pre Tolkien Fantasy reading group, possible for our Fatal Flaw show. Do you recommend anon?
