Black Warrior...
...regarding Caballero's design
I was intending to post about how Caballero's design (including the kilt!) was influenced by the style and attitude of the great rudo Black Warrior.
Unfortunately when looking for an image of Black Warrior, I learnt he sadly passed away in January this year.
What a great rudo he was. He never fought (to my knowledge) outside of Mexico, but was well known to devotees of lucha libre. He lost his mask in an apuestas (wager) match with Mistico and was unmasked as Jesus Toral Lopez. I had the honor and pleasure of meeting him at the 'Los Campeones de La Lucha Libre' premiere in Mexico CIty in 2008.
