YouTubers I Don’t Like Anymore
YourMovieSucksDOTorg: I grew tired of his constant nitpicking and his bias perspective on big budget movies, particularly animated films. He’s one of those people that evidently believes animation is a kids genre and not a medium. He review of Coco really rubbed me the wrong way and was the last video I watched on his channel before unsubscribing.
BlackCriticGuy: I got fed up with his rants on movies that dare predominantly feature strong female characters and his blatant hypocrisy with how he runs his channel. He said he wanted to be more positive and not rail on Disney remakes so much, yet after making that video, he made a rant on Venom and a reaction to The Lion King (2019). I’m sorry, but that’s sending some mixed messages and I unsubbed thereafter.
Banditincorperated: Man did he fall from grace like a rock. He undermines the filmmakers behind Logan and constantly rails on The Last Jedi and Lucasfilm as a whole. I really got fed up with it and to think he was once a well spoken and reasonable critic who could take criticism (as evident with his reupload of his Godzilla (2014) review).
Headhunter Productions: I don’t know why, but not long after he gave a fairly positive review to The Last Jedi, he turned on a dime and started bashing Disney and Lucasfilm for “ruining the franchise.” I also grew tired of him making long winded rants whenever YouTube messes up. You do know there are other means of receiving ad revenue right? On Patreon? Through merchandising? Sponsorships? I get it, YouTube makes stupid decisions, but it’s not like they’re not trying to make the site better for everyone.
Browntable: I have no idea why I subscribed to this channel in the first place. This guy gives weak arguments, uses hyberbolic titles for his videos, has really lackluster thumbnails and shows little to no respect to the talented filmmakers behind movies he's reviewed. He also completely through differing opinions under the bus with his Ant-Man and the Wasp review by saying "If you like Ant-Man and the Wasp because it's not Infinity War, you're a bad critic." Seriously? Not everyone was a fan of Infinity War and those that were (like myself) still found enjoyment out of the smaller scale MCU movies. No one's a bad critic for preferring 1 film over the other. Heck, I rank Endgame above Infinity War (by a tad, mind you; both are great films). Does that make me a bad critic? That was really narrow minded and ignorant of him.
Captain Midnight: Honestly, I grew tired of his cynicism after his Hellboy (2019) review. Sure, he's entitled to his opinion, but his videos became less and less enjoyable for me because has been nothing but negative towards films that were at the very least fun to watch. Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Toy Story 4, the aftomentioned Hellboy. I was getting some YourMovieSucksDotOrg vibes so I stopped watching.
Channel Awesome: Controversy aside, I too have fallen out of love with Nostalgia Critic's schtick. The channel itself doesn't offer much else in terms of variety as its mostly Tamara's Never Seen and FanScription. I still see Doug as a big influence in Internet reviewing, but times have changed and so have my tastes in content.
Jeremy Jahns: His constant complaining about Disney/Lucasfilm was growing tiresome. I was hoping sooner or later he'd figure out that Disney merely distributed the films and Lucasfilm were making the films they wanted to make. Instead he doubled down on his complaints and jumped on the Star Wars Sucks hate train using unjust criticisms and hyperbole. The straw that broke the camel's back though was his Rise of Skywalker review where he blatantly clickbaited his audience with an enthusiastic thumbnail only to reveal he was disappointed with the final film. To think I actually looked up to this guy 😒
PieGuyRulz: Remember when Nickelodeon announced a spin-off to SpongeBob and everyone thought they were spitting on Stephen Hillenburg's grave? Yeah, PieGuy was one of those people. This was such a knee-jerk reaction that completely overlooks the fact that this spin-off was going to happen even Hillenburg was still alive. Why? Because SpongeBob is owned by Nickelodeon, not him. PieGuy either did not realize this or he did not care.
Stones Gremlin Productions: Brad Jones (like Doug Walker) has his fair share of controversy. That said though, I just lost interest in hus content in general, which is mostly just him sitting in a car talking about a movie or him on a chair reviewing porn parodies (yes really).
Cinematic Venom: I was someone who wanted this guy to be as popular as his biggest influences. Then he had a falling out with Erod and it's revealed that he used to make hate videos about Erod. Read Marsha's (Erod's wife) thread hear: https://mobile.twitter.com/marshaknt/status/1167492261468344321
Ralphthemoviemaker: Like YourMovieSucksDotOrg, Ralph has this very pretentious bias against big budget movies as well as animated movies. If he put as much effort into actually making movies instead of reviewing them, he could be a great filmmaker. He also seems to have a bias against child actors, which is just unnecessary because child actors by their nature should not be held to the same standards as adult actors. He's also said he done reviewing superhero movies several times yet he keeps reviewing them. God, it's this level of hypocrisy that made me decide he's just not worth listening to.
TheMysteriousMrEnter: Yes, unfortunately I have lost interest in Mr. Enter's content as of late. In addition to regressing to his old ways in insulting creators of cartoons (calling them lazy and incompetent), he also doubled down on his more controversial opinions (i.e. Legend of Korra and Rise of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) when his points were argued against. The biggest cardinal sin he committed though was retiring his Admirable Animations series because he's become too cynical to review good examples of animation. I've defended this man in the past, but I cannot side with someone who chooses cynicism and spite over optimism and hope.
Todd In The Shadows: My interest in his content has been wanning since my interest in modern pop music has been wanning. I've also grown tired of his repeated jabs and rants on Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons and Justin Bieber. I get that he's not a fan, but are these jabs really necessary?
Nando v Movies: As much as I appreciate that there's a YouTuber out there making a living rewriting movies he felt didn't work, I'm not too keen on his way of going about it. Most of his rewrites sound interesting on paper, but in practice they require the entire production to be overhauled and even if the final product meets his standards, that's not a guarantee for profit in the eyes of the studio. For example, X-Men: Days of Future Past could have had Bishop as the protagonist instead of Wolverine, but that would mean hiring a big named actor playing the part and possibly ballooning the budget to cover that actor's salary. Even if Rise of Skywalker were to be rewritten, the film still had a deadline to meet and any changes during production might end up making it stumble. Also, rewriting a film isn't as simple as Nando makes it out to be in his videos. Any and all drafts have to be approved by the producers and there's a 50/50 chance they'll approve a rewritten screenplay that's an improvement on the last draft. Why? Because the unfortunate reality is not every great script makes for a profitable movie. Tl;dr, Nando isn't always right.
ScreenRant: Clickbait! Clickbait! CLICKBAIT!!!! It is always clickbait with this channel and their video are just basic at best. I unsubscribed along time ago and never looked back because of it.

SmashBits Animations: With their prolonged periods between uploads, you'd think each cartoon would be a significant improvement over the last. That's never been the case with SmashBits as pretty much all their cartoons have the same problem. Flat animation, lackluster sound effects and basic to bad writing. The best thing I can say about it is Dexter Manning did excellent voice work but othere than that there was really nothing worth sticking around for.
AlphaJayShow: Honestly grew tired of his constant negative reviews on modern SpongeBob episodes and being one of those critics that casually insults writters by calling them lazy. I also don't think he did Wander Over Yonder justice by saying it got canned because he didn't think it was that good. No dude, it got canned because Disney felt that 2 seasons and 79 episodes was enough for them, not because you weren't that big a fan of it.
Full Fat Videos: I used to think they were a very well informed video essay channel that made strong points and had really good delivery. I also honestly believed they had genuine respect for filmmakers and even when they disagree with a creative decision, they still made an effort to give credit where credit was due. Then they titled their Rise Of Skywalker video Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker is Garbage and I unsubscribed then after.
The Closer Look: I thought they made some solid video essays, but it's just become tiring hearing a man who's never made a feature film in his life spend over an hour telling professional filmmakers how NOT to make their movies. Honestly, this just makes him come across as a snob more than anything.
Lindsay Ellis: Despite being a talented content creator, I had to unsub from Lindsay as of recently. In addition to using bad reviewer etiquette (calling filmmakers and writers creative choices lazy as well as pieces of art garbage), she also apparently did Raya and The Last Dragon a disservice on Twitter by implying that it was an Avatar: The Last Airbender rip-off. Having seen the film for myself recently, I can confirm that that's not just wrong but absolutely stupid! Looking back at her Masks Off video, it does feel like a long winded way of saying "Yeah, I could've worded it better, but I stand by what I said." Even if what you said was stupid...real classy 🙄
The Thought Theater: Me when I first subscribed: Oh boy, another optimistic video essayist that not only respects filmmakers but actually makes strong points. Me when he changed said him and others said they were going to make their own version of The Rise Of Skywalker after he took back his original praise of the film: Oh, he's just another smug snob who thinks he's better than professional filmmakers. That's a shame 😕
24 Frames Of Nick: Used to be subscribed to him, but after reading the title to his review on Frozen 2, I unsubbed after. I hadn't seen the film yet when the review was posted, but that title implying people who liked the film are lying just rubbed me the wrong way.
I Hate Everything: I at first subscribed to him because he was very articulate in his reasons for not liking something. However as I learned the difference between good and bad reviewer etiquette, he unfortunately fell into the latter and I have sinced unsubbed.
CinemaSins: I was subscribed to them for a good number of years before I became bored of their shtick and started favoring CinemaWins. Subscribe to that channel if you haven't already. It's literally the polar opposite of CinemaWins and you get more substance out of their videos than anything CinemaSins has pumped out. Here's their channel: https://youtube.com/c/CinemaWins
Nerdstalgic: I used to be subscribed to this channel as they started out making well thought out and interesting video essays praising shows and movies. Then they started making more negative videos such as The ONE Problem With Marvel Costumes, The One Word Ruining Superhero Fight Scenes, The Problem With Disney Movies In One Word, How The MCU Can Avoid Marvel's Biggest Problem and so on. I don't have a problem with him having some criticisms of certain movies, but these videos just felt contradictory to what he set out to do with his channel so I just stopped watching him.
Moviebob: I thought he was above low effort and bad faith critics. I thought he was actually much more reasonable and respectful to people in the film industry. I thought Bob was a legitimately good critic who rightfully frowns upon bad critics. Then he published his Morbius review and just made me so upset at how lazy and unfair he was when he should've known better -.-
