12: How does your Dark Urge feel about being a Bhaalspawn?

Her feelings are mixed, in all honesty. She relishes the power, control, and prestige of not just being a Bhaalspawn, but leading the Gate's cult. She'd have been a High Primistress before the game and had all the trappings and responsibilities of the position. Having been a Deathstalker before that, she had some cool abilities that she loved (this post is amazing on describing all of that askdbgkdf) and also likes the idea that she can't really die unless Bhaal permits it, hence why she survived all Kressa and Orin's torture etc. On the other hand, she despised being beholden to Bhaal and having both random and thought- and situationally triggered Urges. She lusts after power and death and gortash, sure, but she wants to do it on her own terms. That was the biggest reason she rejected her Urges/Bhaal's influence. She doesn't want to be leashed by anyone except maybe gortash but that's another post.

17: What is your Dark Urge’s greatest regret?

She most regrets being so confident in her abilities, so comfortable and trusting of her power and her followers' reverence for her, that she didn't see Orin's treachery. If she had, oh, how differently things might've turned out. If nothing else, she'd at least have her pre-game memories.

18: How does your Dark Urge feel about love?

That's...complicated, to say the least. She understands, accepts, and embraces lust. Bhaalists aren't exactly puritans lol But love is different. Sharper. More shameful. As one intended to become Bhaal's Chosen, she was supposed to love only him and the chaos he wanted her to sow. When she started ~feeling~ things for Gortash that went deeper than lust and the respect between allies and a fellow lover of experimentation/cruelty, guilt and shame practically devoured her. For most of her life, she saw it as a risk and a poison willingly and stupidly drunk--a poison she willing and stupidly drank.

Not that she remembers any of that, of course. She finds all the letters she'd sent Gortash and feels a tingling of something like recognition, and she feels an overwhelming sense of deja vu when they first meet again, but that's it. She tried to love Gale, but all his kindness and gentleness seemed to hurt and made her doubt that she was capable of feeling such a thing for anyone. It hurts and frustrates her. She bitterly envies those in happy relationships, too, and if her day was particularly nasty, she might be petty enough to ruin that happiness. At least until she rekindles what she had with Gortash. Then they ruin lots of things together fff
