Workshop Presenter: Dr. Egunlyadole Coleman of @thinkfreshly Dr. Eguniyalode Coleman is an Holistic Wellness Specialist and Doctor of Public Health with over 15 years of practical experience. Through these areas, 'Iyalode incorporates aspects of African spirituality in to her practice to restore and fortify the natural balance and order of Life Force energy within the original Keepers. She will be teaching African Cosmology Systems which are intermittently referred to as Traditional African Religions; have been the cultural, economic, governmental, health/wellness & spiritual crux of ancient African Society from time immemorial. During the African Holocaust between the 15th and 19th centuries a; fraction of these systems were globally dispersed. Areas experiencing high saturation of African slaves such as North/South America and the Caribbean Islands, became the new locations of the captured Africans and theirrespective Cosmology Systems. Within the past three decades, an overt resurgent interest in the fore stated systems amongst North American Africans in the Diaspora has occurred. Individuals are practicing African Cosmology as a means of recalibrating themselves to their indigenous nature and origin. It is our intent to discuss the positive implications of utilizing such systems; as an appropriate cultural means of treating psycho-social/spiritual ailments such as mental illness and identity disorders.
