The Fairy Portal is a modern day fantasy set mostly in Illinios suburbia. The year is left to the imagination and could be any time within the use of modern cell phones.
Twin siblings Blake and Emily love tromping through the woods, hiking and exploring. But only Blake believes in magic and the Fair Folk until he and Emily accidentally enter a fairy portal and Emily carves their initials on the pathway through: a giant, old white oak. A fairy curse falls down on their heads and they seek help from their grandmother, Florence, and her friends, two resident cottage witches, Clementine and Dix.
When Clementine and Dix give Blake and Emily the Fairy Sight, not only do they finally get to meet their source of ill fortune (a tiny, grumpy woodland fairy named Tassie), they have to make a deal with her to repay the woods for what Emily has damaged.
Meanwhile, there’s this beautiful Merrow boy who keeps following Blake from lake to river to stream...

C's Recap - Lavallee on Vancouver Canadians 2023 Northwest League Championship - "A testament to our organization and players"
#VanCanadians #MontysMounties #AtTheNat #BlueJays #LosAzulejos
Vancouver Canadians manager Brent Lavallee proclaimed on Media Day that the Canadians “will be the best team in our organization to start the season” in 2023. They would be not only the best team in the Blue Jays farm system but in the entire Northwest League as they defeated the Everett AquaSox in four games to capture the NWL pennant. The pride of North Delta, B.C. shared his thoughts on the…

When is CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, And Blake Murphy is going to show up in AEW.
We have a match! One of the main OC’s in my NaNo WIP is Blake. He’s 31, on the wrong side of morally grey, and has a knack for finding things and people due having powers, even though he insists he doesn’t (because he doesn’t believe that’s a real thing).
Yay, name matches! My Blake could not be less similar! He’s 15 years old and accidentally gets wrapped up in a fairy curse when his twin sister carves their initials on the tree that serves as a portal between the worlds. He personally doesn’t have powers, but he’s surrounded by beings that do (fae, Merrows, Redcaps, witches), and he DEFINITELY believes in them. It’s subtle manipulations of reality: rather than summoning an element or something, the witches can enchant Blake’s glasses with sigil-charged water to give him the Fairy Sight, for example. He’s a kind hearted person, if a little wishy-washy!
I LOVE the idea that he doesn’t believe in powers even though he has them! I usually see the ‘normal’ character insisting that it’s a coincidence or something, not the one with the powers themself. I love it!! What is your NaNo project about? I’d love to hear more about it! :D
People will say this is a one in a thousand interaction but There's probably a ton of dash cam footage just like this we'll never see 😟
I don’t think anyone is perfectly honest about who they are and what they do on Facebook. Your interests don’t always reflect what you do on a day to day basis. So you like skateboarding, playing guitar and generally looking cool but that’s not really you. You really only put the things that people will gravitate to and leave out embarrassment things like “passing out in a recliner drunk with a bag of Cheetos”.
I like to think of Facebook as this game where you try to see who can fabricate the most believable lie in a competition to see who has the best “life”. It’s like permanently showing off vacation photos with everyone you work with, “You see this? I’m jumping off a giant rock into a gorgeous hidden bay in Oregon. Oh you were here working and eating ramen noodles while I was having that much fun? That sucks for you.”
