The urge to ignore all my other projects and responsibilities just to rewrite Age of Scorpius by Milo Winter. Just like. for fun. Writing exercise. Who knows
> be me

Honestly I don't think imma do the tmnt au comp anymore
No reason to have extra stress in my life over something that needed a community majority vote to decide whether or not to platform a racist homophobe
One thing that I always think about is how often indigenous people are just. Ignored in discussions of history and oppression
A really common/well known example of how the US has fucked over black people is the example of '40 acres and a mule' from Special Field Order No. 15. They (the north, during the civil war) gave freed black people of ~40 acres of american land (and a mule too, in some cases) meant to serve as a sort of reparation and a way to allow them to be self sufficient, right.
It's often brought up because it was repealed quickly after and nearly all of the land was given back to its white, confederate 'owners'.
What I never heard talked about is the fact that that land was, and still is, indigenous land.
When people criticize how racist and oppressive the repeal was, they never EVER bring up how the existence of it was also, in tandem, racist and oppressive to indigenous peoples.
Like, two things can be true at once, you know? Both the existence of the order and its repeal were racist and oppressive in different ways.
So often, indigenous people are forgotten about. When I first learned of this order, never once did my professor (or my own mind) even consider the indigenous people being genocided right behind it, BECAUSE of it. I had to seek out native authors and papers to get that perspective. And now that I have it, I can't not think about it.
I love characters who aren't woke. Usagi is a classist. Ishida dabbles in misogyny. The Hamatos as just a general concept. Make more unwoke characters it's much more enjoyable
My therapist has been trying to convince me to trust mental health professionals and that past experiences don't need to turn into a pessimistic outlook so just IMAGINE the shit eating grin imma have when I see him tomorrow and tell him my psychiatrist fucking QUIT. I'm always right
To all Addams Au fans: today, I thought moderately hard about drawing responses to asks and then I did a mild doodle of Usagi and gave up. You're welcome 😌✨️‼️
