New York is finally up on the site! (Mostly lol) It has been crazy over here, I managed to get a few pictures edited finally! Q&A With Kristin Reiter of BLEACH BLACK

We're so thrilled to release this stunning series of images by Chris Cuneo to support our latest collection curated by Kristin Reiter, BLEACH BLACK x Wasteland. In the interview below, the platinum blonde style guru shares her inspiring thoughts about fashion blogging as well as some vintage styling tips. Have a look! 

Can you talk about this shoot?

I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with some of the best photographers on the planet, thus I’m very particular about who I work with.

Chris Cuneo is a genius and just generally understands what I’m looking for. We both subscribe to minimalism and wanted to capture that look, so we went a bit grainy quality, no make up and shot on the top of a parking structure in downtown Portland.

Out of your 40 picks, can you pick an ultimate fave? 

Love the leather jacket that we shot. You can never go wrong with a moto jacket.

How would you describe your style? 

Like my life, an exciting evolution.

How do you incorporate vintage into your style? 

I usually work around the loudest piece and tone everything else down from there. Vintage is usually quite a statement, so it’s “the piece” of the look. 

What's been inspiring you lately? 

I just got back from Florence and am inspired by the ultimate quest of being a polymath – Have been doing a lot of research on Michelangelo.

What makes you a good blogger? 

Vision. I’ve always been committed to the evolution of the fashion industry through as many mediums as possible.

How do you imagine the future of fashion blogs developing? 

Its something I think about every day. Fashion + Tech

Would you call yourself a perfectionist? 

Perfect is now and is present. So yes I guess I am…. And for that matter we all are.

What's the greatest lesson you learned in your career so far? 

Never let your career or your title define who you are – have greater expectations of yourself.

Favorite fashion icon?

Audrey Hepburn

Favorite season for fashion? 

Fall. Spring/Summer feel the same every year.

What's the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning? 

Roll over and kiss my amazing boyfriend! 

What's on your playlist?

I love Dion right now. Dream Lover and runaround Sue.

What's the best thing you've ever scored at Wasteland? 

A vintage Vivienne Westwood dress that I’ve never worn because it’s just that beautiful.
