The Bleach filler episodes are so badly integrated that they will give you tone whiplash.

I'd like to think that Hitsugaya is actually a good detective, based on his actions during the Soul Society arc, but Byakuya as his co-detective is simultaneously incredibly smart but Thinks Like A Detective Novel moreso than he is actually good at being a detective, and Hitsugaya just has to manage his eccentricities the entire time.

Bleach filler episodes always need a straight man, and usually it's Ichigo, but this time it's gonna be Hitsugaya. He's gonna be like, "There are still traces of reiatsu...we need to follow them before they fade," and Byakuya is going to be like "Yes, but first we need to put on capes." I want this episode to be so, so, so weird, like, it keeps changing genres. In one scene it'll be in black and white and Byakuya is dressed like Sherlock Holmes and Hitsugaya is wearing a bowler, and in the next they're doing Death Note. Byakuya and Renji act out a scene from Kurosawa's Stray Dog while Hitsugaya keeps looking at his watch and going "Is this...necessary? Is this helping??" Byakuya gets Rukia to hack the senkaimon records on her phone and Hitsugaya is like "we are captains? Akon will just give us this information??" There's a scene in a jazz club and it turns out it's only there because Shinji wanted to be in this episode. I cannot emphasize enough that the "mystery" in this case is going to be something along the lines of Kyouraku tells them an item of great importance has gone missing, but then at the end it turns out to be a pen he got from the Living World in 1973 that's got a picture of a girl in it and when you turn it upside down, her clothes fall off. (Nanao threw it in the trash)

The most insulting part of the “I can’t imagine Chad losing” slander is that Ichigo is 100% right

Every arc Chad gets 1 Shot by some bullshit attack like “『The World Over Heaven Requiem」 Super Insta Kill』” and then IMMEDIATELY gets back up and wipes like 2-3 heavy hitters

like we get it he’s not Ichigo he’s not gonna stomp Yhwach or Perfect Aizen

but like, damn every one of these ppl is expecting him to OPM every villain

Which is ESPECIALLY laughable when we see Uryu do this exact shtick constantly and he’s IMMEDIATELY sent to the (Orihime Intensive Care Unit) with the understanding that he’ll “never again use his powers”

its such a bullshit double standard that’s only leveled against Sado bc he’s a POC (Person Of Chad) smh my head 🤦‍♀️

I really hope I don't end up eating my words later, but more people need to hype up the reigai arc. More people need to experience the beautiful animation and storyboarding and... cinematography??? of this arc. It's genuinely such a treat to delight again.

Haven't watched this arc in yearsss, last time I watched it was in 2020 but I never finished it (I was off like one episode). I've watched it a good handful of times tho. It's my favourite filler arc.

The first couple episodes have really good moments between Ichigo and Rukia that are so fucking funny that I completely forgot about. Kind of stuff canon never gave us sadly </3 they're so stupid, I love them.

Every time I think of the beautiful animation in this arc, I just think of the dangai moment in episode 1 [317]. Beautiful animation, and a fucking hilarious moment between ichigo and Rukia.

also a little later on, him going "come on guys, I'm not a magician" so casually before Rukia is like "hang on, I gotta lock in"

Really feels like the animators and writers finally got down the characters for this final filler arc. Taking Rangiku's grief into consideration, Ichigo and Rukia's dynamic, Kon's also really nice in the arc.

Genuinely have no idea what possessed me to draw this other than the fact I’m rewatching the Bount arc for fun.

I can’t watch the arc like a normal person and be sane, I would actually go a bit insane, so I had to distract myself. Unfortunately, Jin Kariya seems to be fanart-shaped despite the fact I am not a fanartist. This is not the first time I have drawn him.

I...Had to think about this for a good bit.

I feel like I have better memory for 1 episode filler like the Film festival, Kemari, New Years, the straight up Sailor Moon parody and that one where a spiritually aware girl tries to blackmail Orihime into being her friend. (10 outta 10 concept right there.)

Feel like I can't include Regai arc because I've only watched it once. Though I do remember little pieces like Sasikibe running around trying to find his copy, only for the bad guy be like 'wait...I forgot to make him one...ah well.' Momo horde getting some sweet, sweet stabby vengeance on Toshiro and Kon somewhat getting to be an ACTUAL character instead of "comic relief" that I've throughly outgrown.

Zanpaktou Rebellion is out as I'm in a strange spot as a Bleach enjoyer as I...just don't really care about the Shinigami or Soul Society. I think Renji, Rukia and Rangiku are the only ones where if Kubo wrote them out or killed them off I'd be 'THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS!!' There are some where I like the bit of their character or I liked this cool moment they had but I'm not really all that attached to them.

I have decided that nobody told Orihime that arc was even happening. So she just thought she was helping a cosplayer that partied too hard, only for him to release a shrivelled angory man and a horde of menos on her town.

Which leaves the Bount arc and The New Captain arc and I am NOT giving it to Bount arc.

Now to its credit I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. Nearly every criticism of it can just as easily be applied to every filler arc here. The thing that bugs me the most about it is Pierrot deciding to mash it in with the canon stuff because they were super proud of it I guess?! Also aside from Noba (teleport portal dimension guy) the other mod souls were only ever effective when they were bullying Ichigo and co. at the start of the arc.

So think it's gotta be the New Captain arc. Mainly because, the more I think on it the more I realise it's the funniest filler arc.

Hi, we are the bad guys of this arc. We use swords that eat us if they are displeased with our performance. Also we blow ourselves up if things don't go to plan, don't worry we don't try to take someone out with us. We just off ourselves harmlessy to side.

I do also love the swords that eat you. They're just so equally stupid and creepy. I think that's just great.
