author's note: Okay this chapter flowed a lot more smoothly compared to the others. Hopefully I didn't rush it too much... Sorry for any clumsiness in my writing! Also was fun to write a bit more from Sam’s point of view. Everything will make sense in due time, and we’ll be getting to the Henry Avery bits soon, promise!
