“That long? Man, Chief Edgeworth agreed to that? Lucky bastard.” He frowned, wondering if maybe he chose the wrong side of the bench to object from.
“Well, a hundred bucks still sounds nice, but I guess this round of the city is on the house.” There was no way he could ask actual money for this- he wouldn’t have in the first place, but a part of him just enjoyed the nonsensical banter they shared frequently.
Then a realization hit him.
“You’re going to spend Christmas here? Not that Khura’in celebrates it like in LA, but you get what I mean.” Didn’t the other want to be with family during the holidays? Now he thought about it, he didn’t know anything about Klavier’s family. Well- There was one family member he knew of, but he was certain he wouldn’t be visited in general, let alone on Christmas Eve.
“You’re free to, of course! I was just wondering... Actually, never mind. I’m sure Datz and Nahyuta would be happy to have you here.” Apollo quickly changed the subject. “So, are you ready to go out now? I’m not sure we can do a lot of hiking today, but we can go around the city a bit.”
