Hey guy's, here's a little PSA on navel piercings. This is what's referred to as a floating navel piercing. As you can see there isn't a prominent lip or ridge to pierce through. If pierced like a regular navel piercing (more vertical) the placement and pressure it would receive would most likely cause migration or rejection. Not what you want. This is pierced with a flat disc in most cases to help prevent that. It's also at a slightly different angle to help ensure there's no excessive pressure on the bottom side. In most cases a standard piece of navel jewelry will NOT sit or look proper simply because the style of this piercing has to be more angled into the body for proper placement.
