Synopsis in comments! 4 Stars! * This was a really fun retelling of “The Lady, or the Tiger?” ! I really enjoyed the harsh desert landscape marked by a once rich city, Achra. The water shortage was interesting to watch play out. The characters were really well written. Kateri’s character growth was so well done especially considering this is a “shorter” standalone! I was impressed! I also enjoyed the unique creatures Sullivan came up with! Plus it has some enemies to lovers romance going on! If you’re itching for a retelling set in the desert then look no further!
