//  “ Damn, you really did a number on yourself. Your shoulder has popped out so I’m going to try and put it back in alright? Don’t bite your tongue. On the count of three... one two-- ” --pop.

//  It was one swift movement but very unlikely without pain. Still... given his appearance, he couldn't just suddenly call an ambulance or the police. This was likely none of his business to begin with. “ Sir, can I call an ambulance for you? Do you want to go to the hospital? ”

Having been ready for bed, just relaxing while reading a book and drinking a cup of tea, Flora was not expecting a knock at her door. But it wasn't any normal knock - the knock was very soft and weak. Had it not been for the fact her apartment was quiet, she would not have heard it at all.

Standing up, she heads over to the door, and makes sure it is locked before peeking out the peep hole. Not really seeing anything except what looks like a body leaning against her door, haphazardly from what she can tell. Now she was confused. Why was this person leaning against her door like that? Were they hurt? Then she hears some more quiet knocks so Flora decides it would probably be best to check on them, at least.

Unlocking the door, she gently pulls it open to see Kai standing on her door step, beaten up so badly she could barely recognize him with all the blood, bruises, and injuries on his face and body. Just as soon as she is about to reach over to grab him or say something to him, he starts to fall into her, and she feels his body become dead weight as she just barely manages to hold him up while using the door frame for support.

Feeling her breath hitch in her throat, she hears his quiet sorry, and she feels tears form in the tear ducts of her eyes because of his horrible state. Taking a deep breath, she moves them so that they are at least in the apartment, and let's the door shut beside them.

"Kai.. what happened?" She talks to him in a quiet but alarmed voice, trying her best to support him, and bring him comfort - not even caring about the blood that has gotten on her clothes or skin. They'll have to move soon, but she'll need his help for that, so she can get him all cleaned up and rested.

❀ ~ “ Oh, I have an idea! How about a picnic tonight? I can even use my basket and blanket. Then we can go to the park, the roof of my apartment, or maybe even the beach? It’ll be so nice, trust me. Besides, I make the best sandwiches too. ” Yeah, the young man really just wanted an excuse to bust out his picnic basket and floral picnic blanket.

He’s been at this chain coffee shop for two hours out of sheer boredom, don’t mind Natsu bothering the one who has the unfortunate fate to sit beside him. He sips on his third coffee refill. “Hey, so like, do you think people watch videos online about other people’s work days, and think they can do them? Because I think I need a new job or a part time one.”

‘ Huh-- Woah wai-- ahh--- .... shit.’ Phillip groaned, looking down at his short, now covered in someone else’s drink, after he’d crashed into them, ot they’d crashed into him. Maybe a bit of both. It was hard to tell. Just his luck, he finishes his shift at the bar, goes to leave and gets a drink poured all over him. ‘ Fuck.’ He cursed, taking a step back and shaking his hands, shaking off some of the liquid that had run down his arms and into them.

“Why are you apologizing? This is honestly a lot of fun, and it was nice to help out your mom.” Umeko cheered, Yang and her were given a small break from helping out at the stand. It was nice to get out and help him and his mother promote her online store in such a way. As some of the older folks kept mentioning they didn’t know how to work those damn things.

“Oh wow! That’s amazing.” Umeko cooed at the other stalls decorations and wares. Seemed like they were selling custom made leather notebooks, and accessories.

Considering how Gran already lost their life once they should, by all logic, be a lot more careful, but old habits die hard. They’re still as reckless as they’ve always been, finding moving in front of attacks the obvious choice (regardless if they have time to deflect it or not). It’s not something they really consider to be wrong and nervously laugh off the times it’s pointed out, but while Gran treats their life very lightly it’s not as if they aren’t scared of dying.

In extension of above, Gran is awfully uncomfortable with not being able to do something. Being in a situation where their hands are tied is one of the few times where Gran is actually distressed. Suspicions of their crew members turning on them, someone else taking hits to keep them safe, fighting objects looking like friends, seemingly unbeatable monsters; general situations that Gran isn’t able to solve themself. They do try to keep their emotions in check during these times as they’re the captain, but the unease is often obvious anyway.

While it’s already clear that Gran loves any kind of airship (being distracted by the speedships at the start of platinum sky cup), it doesn’t take long to realize that it’s a near obsession. The kinda kid who’d always bring a model to daycare. Never lets go of it. It’s at the dinner table. In the stroller. In the bed. Everywhere. It’s a comfort blanket, give it to them to stop the tears. In a more current sense Gran’s the type who’d immediately get attached to people who shows an interest in airships, and does brighten whenever someone uses the word.

Speaking of comfort blankets; their father’s letter serves the same purpose. It’s something that’s always kept safe but also has been read so many times it’s starting to show on the edges. Knows it so well they could recite it by heart starting from whatever line you want. It’s one of the few physical objects they have an emotional attachment to and while they don’t bring it to missions and the like, it’s something that’s prioritized to take with them whenever they can.
