Two Square Blocks rapidly changing in downtown Portland . On a whim, while I am out running errands, I keep popping downtown to see what the protest zone is looking like because it keeps changing fast. These photos are of Lownsdale Square (the park by the all Courthouses and facing the Federal one). The first four photos were taken while the Federal agents were here (1 week ago). The park was converted into into a small peaceful occupation...it reminded me a bit like Occupy Portland. They had everything there, even BBQ (named "Riot Ribs"), haircuts, and an art table. Then 3 days later it was announced the Federal agents were leaving and the Oregon State Police where stepping in. The last two photos are from the morning after the Feds left...and the entire park was cleaned up and volunteers were in there cleaning graffiti and trash. It was probably cleaned up with in 5-6 hours. And I did see Oregon State Police at the Fed Building. Apparently just a few hours later after taking this show, a whole group of artists took over the part and started painting...if I had known, I would have stayed for that! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #portlandoregon #downtownportland #portlandprotests #blmportland #blacklivesmatterpdx #blacklivesmatterportland (at Downtown Portland) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDj28i5hzhV/?igshid=6idl4t118m2w
