Hiatus Notice
((Hey everyone. Sorry for vanishing without a trace. If it hasn’t become apparent yet, this blog is on a hiatus until further notice. I need to figure out what I want to do here going forward, which is probably going to mean some massive, sweeping changes and possibly a full reboot when I do decide to return.
I’ve been logging in every now and then to check messages, so if you need to get ahold of me that’s one option. Those of you who do have my Skype are welcome to contact me on it. I hope you’re all well and thank you for your patience and understanding.))
((Just doing a little bit of housekeeping in the thread management department, and I wanted to put it out here that I am going to be dropping the following threads. Please don’t be put-off by the tag, it’s as much for my own record keeping as anything else, tbh. They were all replied to last (by me, with the exception of “ruined”) more than a month ago--most well before then--and I am assuming that if you haven’t gotten around to it by now it’s because you’ve either lost track of it or lost interest. (And that’s fine! It doesn’t mean we can’t start something new.) If that’s not the case and you wish to continue one of these, please message me privately.
Additionally, just in case you are curious about another thread that might be floating around unaccounted for, you can find my updated thread tracker HERE.))
OOC: Announcement
((I have an important announcement concerning this blog. It’s something that I have been mulling over for quite some time now, and I have decided to take the plunge and move forward with the decision.
As of today, Malcolm is officially a Fandomless OC.
That is to say, he will no longer remain 100% canon-compliant with the Supernatural universe and as his mun I am now free to incorporate conflicting lore into his storyline. While there is still a great deal of SPN influence, and largely no outright contradictions, I feel that it is in the best interests of the character and the plot that is unfolding for him to remove the shackles of that particular fandom.
I do not anticipate that this change will adversely affect interactions with SPN canons or OCs; mainly the only point of contention here is that Malcolm will no longer recognize a demon named ‘Crowley’ as Hell’s King and instead will reference the hierarchy and ruling class of Hell in a more nebulous form. If you have questions or concerns, please hit me up privately and I am happy to discuss them.))
Re: Journal articles
I’ll probably include links to journal articles in my posts. I will try to include open access links whenever possible, but sometimes I can’t find them. If you’d like to read an article you can’t get access to, send me an ask and I’ll send you a link to the file privately. If you ask anon, I’ll try to find a link to a PDF uploaded somewhere open access and post that link, but I won’t always be able to.
Similarly, if there’s an article you want but don’t have access to, send me an ask (again, off-anon please) and I’ll see if I can get you a copy. What’s the point of having university journal access if I can’t share it, right?
(Also, often if you email the corresponding author of a paper requesting a copy, they’ll just send you one - researchers want people to read their work!)
