The relationship between YouTube content creator and YouTube audience is a two-way street. If only some of the biggest YouTubers realised it...
I saw a confrontation on Twitter earlier, between some prominent YouTubers and members of their audiences. The implication from one of the very famous YouTubers seemed to be that their audience needs them, more than they need their audience. Which is utter rubbish. Success is a two-way street - YouTubers don’t become successful WITHOUT an audience and audiences won’t have the content they love unless the YouTuber remains productive and successful. I wrote a longer blog on the subject, because I think it really needs to be said.
