UNBRAINED

The virus began from as a small body of water, it was still and rotting for decades in an abandoned Minnesota hospital. Naturally it grew nasty fungi and a brain eating amoeba from sitting in the same place for so long. It sat there for so long it began to mutate, some speculate it mixed with some sort of expired chemical that was used in the hospital, or maybe it just mutated on its own. How it did is still unknown but what was known was that because of a small doe drinking it, was only just the beginning.
Its fur started to fall out, it grew grotesque puss filled warts all over its body as the mutated brain eating ammonia scraped whatever it could out of its small body. It became feral and white larvae grew all over its body, eating more than just its brain, eating through its lungs causing it to puke up its own blood which only contaminated other wildlife more. The doe was found by a farmer as it feasted on its own mother, it was never full, the larvae ate every bit of its nutrients which caused it to become so skinny its ribs showed.
It bit the farmer as he attempted to kill it, the farmer bit a nurse that wanted to help his fever and rashes, gradually a breakout started which caused a huge quarantine among the small wooded area. It only seemed to spread more and more as days went by, there was no use in contaminating it.
SYMPTOMS
stage one will begin as huge rashes and small red warts around the infected area, if you got bit or had an infected wound the wound would leak a lot of yellow like puss and bruise up. If you consumed anything with the ammonia in it, you'll constantly feel hungry no matter what you eat or take. Along with minor trouble breathing as the puss filled warts grow in your lungs, throat, and intestines. Your eyes will become sore and iris will be dilated which will only grow worse. This is somewhat treatable depending on your conditions, still dangerous though and you have to stay away from any human contact for as much as possible or else your starving stomach would crave to eat them. Along with minor memory loss, muscle spasms, fuzzy vision, and severe nausea and headaches.
Stage two, previous symptoms will worsen as the small red warts will grow bigger and full of puss. You'll feel as though your constantly suffocating as the ammonia spreads through your body, your eyes will feel so itchy some victims even claw their eyes out. Your eyes iris will grow bigger to the point where the white of your eyes will be barely visable as time passes. Your brain will become completely numbed out as all your memories and thoughts become larvae food, you won't even remember who you are or look like. You'll begin to vomit your own blood and bits of your insides out, along with small larvae. This stage can still be treated but its very rare that it does, especially if enough of your body has been eaten, more specificly your lungs and intestines. You physically wont be able to control what your body does, but every movement you make will feel agonizing. This stage is one of the fastest and strongest as its still one of the earliest.
Stage three, you'll still be able to move but just not as fast as before due to your body progressively growing weaker. The larvae will become more visible and bigger and almost worm like as they chew in and out of your skin, you'll no longer be mentally there and you'll be nothing but food. Your eyes will become blind and you'd need to rely on your hearing and smell. Your body will become more bone then muscle, one breath causes your body to puke up more blood and has a higher chance of puking out an entire organ. Eventually even the smallest bit of movement with cause your bones to snap, but the virus will continue to make your body move or even crawl if your legs snap. Your nails and hair will grow quicker, so will your hunger. This stage and beyond is currently incurable, theres no use in treatment.
The final stage, the larvae will grow centipede like legs and will become larger as they breed and bury their eggs inside your body. Depending on how many larvae that are in your body it can cause huge egg clusters that will stick out of any open wound. You'll still be able to move around for a short amount of time, but eventually you won't be able to breathe at all or even be able to bite from how weak your body will be. Blood will continue to seep out of your mouth as your forced to lay there with the virus still attempting to make you move which would be agonizing. Even at this weaker stage you'll still be highly contagious, you'll be more at peace if you were put down. Would do every survivor a favor.
NOTES
•some victims if starved enough will start to eat themselves
•any open cut or wound needs to be sterilized if around infected, any small spec of them even in an early stage could lead to death
•its best to sneak around stage two infected or sneak behind them to kill them
•stage two-three will make loud groaning sounds, even painful screams as both as an attempt to trick survivor's or animals or as a genuine scream for help
•animals get infected in the similar way as humans yet get blinded more quicker and are easier to kill, though a bite from one will cause the infection process to go quicker and more harsh
•its very rare for a victim to be mentally conscious when transitioning to stage three
•must grow food in a highly sanitized area or the food will become contaminated (any plant can be infected, even soil)
•aim for the head, though stage three and four infected's will still be able to move as the huge larvae grow through their neck (if head is chopped off) but their senses will drastically decrease. Any other methods will not work, not even being shot
•hide as much skin as possible outdoors, even flies or any kind of small insect can bite you no matter the species
•no matter how much treatment is given to the victim the infection will still always be there, treatment is mainly to stall the infection rate (until a cure is made)
