1,000 years. It’s been a long, LONG one-thousand years since the very first time he opened his eyes to the world before him. As for how long it’s been since he started his adventure? Well... that he could not recall. Only that each passing day was another away from HER, from Edna. Eyes weighing heavy, a bud of guilt again writhing in his chest. It’s a thought he does not endorse, for FEAR of the shadowing feelings growing stronger.
Which is why he’s glad for the small things. The things capable of distracting him from himself. The things he could never encounter at home. Monsters, myths, and FABLES. The very last of those three stressed. He’s spent quite some time seeing the world with his own eyes, and of the sights he’s seen? Fables manifest, words foretelling of a woman in the mirrors.
BLOODY MARY.
“ ...I’ve told you before, DO NOT spy on me through Aifread’s mirrors. ”
Why did his captain even have more than one mirror in his quarters? It seemed odd to Eizen. That a pirate might care for his appearance in any way. Then again, with how renowned his captain had become, even after his disappearance, Eizen could understand how he might have come to care. In either case, Eizen is standing here, previously to look over his captain’s belongings, lamenting HIS ongoing search for him. His moment, and prior invasive thoughts, shattered by HIS attempts to converse with another who seemingly wasn’t there with him in the captain’s quarters. SEEMINGLY.
“ These quarters are a SPECIAL place to me. ”
