"Watcha reading?"

I jumped a little in surprise, not expecting someone to talk to me when I didn't notice them approaching.

I looked up and smiled a little.

"Hey, Shima. I'm...well, its just a romance."

I said as I blushed a little and waved my hand in dismissal, trying to change the subject; I asked him a question.

"What are you doing out here?"

Shima grinned and gestured at the lotus blossom trees.

"Its beautiful out...I wanted to take a stroll."

He explained, I glanced around and nodded my head a little in understanding.

"So...romance, huh? You have a crush on someone or what, Yn?"

He teased, giving me a wink.

I rolled my eyes a little.

"Well...no...where'd you get that from?"

I asked, blushing again as I glanced at the trees next to me.

"Hm...just a feeling."

Shima said with a shrug, he moved closer and sat down next to me.

"So, what's he look like?"

I gently hit him on the arm.

"Why are you so curious about my love life?"

I asked, turning my head to look at him.

"Because its fun. So...tell me!"

He said in an excited tone, gently nudging his shoulder with my own.

I sighed a little.

"Fine...he has brown eyes."

"Oh, yeah? And does his hair sparkle in the sunlight?"

Shima teased, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Well his hair used to be black..."

"So he dyed it?"

Shima asked, tilting his head at me.

I nodded my head a little.

"And how tall is this 'dream boat'?"

He asked as I chuckled in response.

"About your height."

He nodded his head in return, about to open his mouth for another question I quickly cut him off.

"That's enough information for now...good luck guessing."

I said with a smile on my face as I stood up and pat his shoulder.

"Wha- that's not enough information!"

He called back to me as I ignored him and kept walking.

Hello my beautiful admins! May I have a Yukio Okumura headcanon with an s/o who was once a genocidal maniac but is now atoning for their sins although they have panic attacks about what they did in the past when they're not by his side. I hope this makes sense ^^

Firstly, Yukio is most definitely supportive in his s/o. 

As someone who is also still struggling with accepting his new birthright, he feels a sort of connection with them.

As someone who’s not one to pry, he waits for them to tell their story. He’d be shocked at first, but he’d be understanding as he too can be seen as a psychotic man who doesn’t have a good grip on his emotions.

When he learns of their first panic attack he’s worried out of his mind. It’s around the 2nd panic attack that he understands what helps them and what doesn’t.

Thus resulting in the pair being constantly seen together. 

Every other day he likes to try to bring a sense of normalcy into their lives by asking simple questions and taking them on dates.

It’s without a doubt that Yukio will wake up to his own distorted nightmares and seek their warmth to lull him back into a peaceful sleep.

It’s a given that Yukio knows all the signs of his s/o’s possible relapse and/or moments of weakness. He’s understanding and helps them get through whatever rut they're in.

He may not be the best at singing, but on nights that his s/o faces their demons, he likes to hum songs to them to help them sleep. 

Secretly though, his s/o enjoys laying their head on his chest. After all to most-- if not all-- the most soothing sound can be their loved one’s beating heart.

Always Attract

Yukio Okumura x Reader

He always was the last to fall asleep and the first to be awake.

It was dangerous for him.

He had time to think and you weren’t conscious to tell him that everything was perfect. Your optimism was what kept him grounded.

Or it kept his head in the clouds.

He couldn’t tell. It was what he thought about most. You. The relationship. The smile. The laugh. The curled toes. The softness. The abyss you had him fall into every time your eyes met his.

As he looked at you now, you were just a fuzzy blob. But he didn’t need his glasses to know how content and peaceful you were when you slept, curled up to always face him, an undeniable aura of trust surrounding you.

He could feel it. Anytime you unconsciously touched him, there was a surge of warmth, of reassurance, of love. Even now, as you sleepily scooted closer to his naked arm, pushing your cheek up against his shoulder, he had the overwhelming feeling of a mutual devotion connecting you to him in the most effortless way.

Yukio could’ve lived his life without finding his soul mate, but he was glad he didn’t have to.

He sunk back down underneath the safety of your down comforter, willing himself to stop thinking, even if it was just for a few moments. But he saw you, and he wound his arms around you and he buried his face in your neck and he felt that tension rising in his gut because it came back to him every night.

He would have to leave you. He would have to sacrifice his happiness. Your happiness. He would have to abandon it all. For Rin. For his dad. For Satan.

Yukio pulled your closer. It was the only action of defiance he could manage.
