Grendel: Grendel would flinch, jumping to his feet as his partner vanished in front of his eyes, Instead, all that was heard was the faint buzzing of a bee, and Grendel flinched away, sweating the creature away from his face. “What the fuck?” He scoffed, wandering aimlessly around the room, debating if he had just gone mad. When they snapped back to their human form, the male jumped. “Fuck!” He cried, hand to his chest. Learning that it was one of their quirks, Grendel blinked, then smiled, then offered a faint chuckle. “You should’ve told me sooner,” he said softly, sweetly drawing closer. “Maybe you wouldn’t have given me a heart attack that way.” Together, the two of them couldn’t help but chuckle.
Bluebeard: Bluebeard blinked, cautiously easing themselves to their feet. He watched the small bee carefully as it fluttered around the room. Truthfully, he was pausing to see if he was having a mental episode and had imagined the whole thing. When suddenly, Y/N popped back into their human form, Bluebeard took a startled single step back. After a moment, he smirked, allowing a faint chuckle to escape his lips. “Really? That’s the big secret you’ve been keeping?” With one hand stuffed in his pocket, he leaned in and placed a kiss on their forehead. “Come, none of that matters to me. You know that.”

When Y/N finally snapped back to their human form, mortified as they explained their little quirk, Mary began cackling. She thought it was the funniest, more ridiculous thing on the planet. She continued to chuckle, sliding forward, planning a sweet kiss to her partner’s forehead. “Well, that’s quite the turn of events.” She said softly. Maybe it would be a little hard to assert fear knowing she had a half-bumblebee as a partner, but eh. She would make it work. It didn't change how good she was at her job.
