the fashion week post:3 into 1

                                              London - Milan - Paris

       don't get me wrong,i am the biggest fan of NY f/w,but the european ones totally blew me off.not all of them,but a significant part of them.talk about spring collections taken litterally!so much of a spring dose that Vivaldi would be proud.

i don't have that much to say about the collections,because the ones that stood out are pretty obvious.as for the rest i had doubts,i'll probably make up my mind when i see them on street styles.how they can be transformed & interpreted.for now enjoy my longest post,ever!

digital prints took over f/w this year.dries did that with a nostalgic note,almost of an era that has already passed.definitely a collection that stood out of the bunch.

givenchy went glam all the way.almost rock glam.with the house's not-that-profound medeaval aesthetics,the outcome was exquisite.

there's not much left to say about issey & how much i adore the house.this presentation was elegant to the bone.effortless,weightless & with a hell of a color burst-on the garments & the hair-dos as well.

another wild wild west theme,but kezo you know,it's not like the others.western meets tech.in colors,in the whole installation of the show. Humberto Leon and Carol Lim taking over kenzo,was a really good idea afterall.

it's not that i was that fond of the collection itself but more of the idea behind it.to give you  better idea,i'll quote dazed digital:"the way that women borrow men's tees, a white shirt or a sweater has been subverted under Maison Martin Margiela so that proportions are inverted - construction details turned inside out to illustrate the extra space of a masculine fit on a woman's body. "

such a happy collection-as naive as it may sound.almost 3d florals mixed with polka dots & beautiful handbags & elegant lines & cuts.almost 50s-ish one might say!

most favourite of the favourite of the favourite.you cannot simply imagine my excitement when i layed eyes on these beauties down the runway.excitement is an understatement.new sharp shapes-which reminded me of buildings somehow-mixed with pastels & lines & shimmering stuff & feathers & oh my..and i managed to narrow it down to my fave top 4 looks:

     "sometimes,the simplest things are the mos effect" stated rick owens,thing      that is clear to the eye when going through his s/s 2012 collection.black & white in equal doses,the garments volumed down compared to other seasons & long,beautiful beack coats.church of rick,you may pray.

or "the valley of the dolls" would be just fine.melancholia meets dress-ups and viktor & rolf made everything a bit brighter.
