Ironfamily is something very dear to me
Like it’s just Tony meeting people and deciding they belong to him now. For me Ironfam contains:
Tony of course
Dum-E and U
Rhodey, his brother in all but blood
Pepper
Jarvis (both, his butler and his ai)
Happy
Natasha Romanoff (Tony and her are siblings, argue with the wall)
Bruce Banner, his science bro
Harley Keener aka Adopted Stark Kid #1
Vision
Peter Parker aka Adopted Stark Kid #2
May Parker (She’s part of the family. Period.)
Nebula aka Adopted Stark Kid #3
Morgan of course
Gerald the alpaca (I’m still mad he didn’t make it into the movie!)
Not art but i like my angsty edit ok😭
Tony and Pepper come home from date night, during which Peter was babysitting Morgan, and Morgan’s still not in bed asleep (because she’s like her father and claims she doesn’t need it).
“Daddy, Peter says Mommy’s word too!” Morgan exclaims, as Tony scoops her up from the couch.
Tony raises an eyebrow at Peter and Peter - in a very comical fashion - is looking everywhere except at Tony.
“Oh, does he now…?” asks Tony.
Then comes a voice from behind him -
“ - I’m sorry, Mommy’s word…?” Pepper asks.
And suddenly, they’re all in trouble..
Since dad!tony is my favorite thing ever can we talk about the insane anxious attachment and codependency him and teen!reader
Teen!reader has so much angst potential angst because what if they never had tony since they were a kid??? What if they had a piece of shit stepdad/family and now all of a sudden they have the best dad ever!??!?!? Glued to the hip is an understatement of what these 2 are
(I like to think on practically bad nights for both of them reader has a bed in the lab so they can sleep close to their dad ans obviously it's away from dangerous equipment)
(tony wouldn't do anything dangerous cause they're there so he would just tinker)
oh my fucking GOD I am in agony /pos. no because sleeping in the workshop is my ultimate comfort scenario. we share both a brain cell AND Stark dna tbh.
OOOOOH BITCH FUCK YES. FUUUUUCK YES YOU TOTALLY GET IT. YOU ARE SO PICKING UP WHAT I’M PUTTING DOWN BABES.
So we already know dad!tony has some GNARLY anxious attachment issues to begin with. And I know I always talk about if Tony had you since you were a kid but YES YES YES let’s fucking address Tony only getting you now. Like a few weeks ago. He’s had Peter already, so he already is kind of getting a handle on the whole rearing a teenager, gentle parenting, breaking generational cycles bit. Tony thinks he’s mostly got this down by now. Just keep an eye on the kid, make sure he’s going to school, have Jarvis ping him if Peter's grades start to drop, all that jazz.
Meanwhile, you were raised in a home that probably should have gotten some kind of TLC documentary made about it. Maybe you were brought up super religious, or super sheltered, or super neglected, or just in a generally super toxic environment. You never knew that the man raising you (and doing a shitty fucking job at it) wasn’t actually your dad. You never knew that any siblings you have (if you have any) feel estranged from you even though you all live under one roof because they can sense that you’re special. You never knew why your stepdad always seemed… frustrated at your intelligence and resilience you displayed from a young age.
But you do know all of your formative memories that stick out usually have something to do with Tony Stark.
When you were little you’d practice reading the magazine covers with his likeness under your breath at the checkout line in the grocery store (no one ever told you that you were reading way above your grade level btw). It seemed like every time the news was left running on TV it would eventually drift into how Stark Industries stocks are up, how Stark Industries presented a new ultra-intelligent missile to the Department of Defense, that a minor international conflict was resolved before it escalated further because of ballistics from Stark Industries, experimental recovery drones and advanced targeting systems and counterlocked explosives, all by Stark Industries.
I don’t know how exactly Tony finds out about you as a teenager, but I know he’s really fucking glad he did.
Maybe he’s showing off an experimental program that can run DNA and see where it pops up the strongest across the globe, some way to try and track down Hydra agents and other bad guys in hiding as long as they have a sample from them to run.
Steve is obviously very against this - he loves the idea of being able to track down bad guys, but doesn’t that mean bad guys can track innocent people down too? Tony audibly laughs at the notion that anyone else could ever come close to replicating something this advanced. So just to prove how harmless it is, he tries it out on himself. He walks around the briefing room while the screen loads behind him, going on about updates to the com system, summarizing their next several casefiles - “Seriously, no one did the reading? Again? You have got to be kidding me- okay, so…”
He goes on for a while about a terrorist group that popped up somewhere in Europe, the information they have, et cetera, but suddenly Natasha’s face shifts a little. She catches Clint’s eye, then Bruce’s. Tony trails off, sensing some sort of elephant in the room and turns around to see that the DNA screen has finished loading.
And it pinged two separate points with 100% accuracy.
But before I get even more sidetracked, you are SO correct that yall are so anxiously attached to each other, so here’s some things Tony does to try and keep you feeling reassured and secure.
You for SURE know all the ins and outs of Jarvis, and you can get live updates on your dad’s vitals and location whenever you want. Sometimes you just watch the little holographic screen that shows you his heartbeat, watching as one line spikes rhythmically and the other curves up and down in smooth lines. You were a little concerned that he seemed to have two heartbeats at first, but you figured out that the second one, the smooth thrumming one is his arc reactor. And you are also spot on about crashing in his workshop. Pepper gives him shit for trying to straight up put a bed in there, which he obviously does not listen to. But you still end up falling asleep on desk chairs or aesthetically pleasing but horribly uncomfortable sleek leather couches, because you always insist you’re not tired. You’re not tired, you just couldn’t sleep so you wanted to watch him work for a while. Or you’re not tired, you’ve just been procrastinating some homework and figured you’d get it done now. You swear up down and sideways that you’re not tired, almost stubbornly so, until Dum-E nudges him and gestures in your direction.
Out like a light.
So he figures out a middle ground and gets you this big comfy papasan chair. It’s like a little nest, the perfect place for you to sit up and read or watch tv and update him on what’s going on in the episode, and it’s also perfect to curl up in and drift off to the sounds of mechanical whirring, your dad talking to Jarvis about stabilizing his repulsors on his suit, and listening to whatever dad rock is playing in he background.
It’s not like your anxiety disappears overnight, it’s not that you never have another bad dream. But now you wake up to the smell of coffee and your dad’s cologne (noir anthracite by Tom Ford btw) and the throw blanket that Butterfingers delicately draped over you while you slept.

Guys I just got a fic idea where post-Endgame the Stark family (yes Tony lives and yes Peter is included) have a picnic by the lake, but Morgan gets a bit too close to the water while playing and falls in. So Peter dives in after her without hesitation.
Do you guys want this fic because I am so tempted to write it
