Aloo Methi Paratha is a fun easy healthy recipes for babies. You can introduce this as early as 6 months. Can be served with a dip like hung curd or mashed dal.
Ingredients 1. Potato medium size - 1 2. Atta - 1 tbsp 3. Fresh Methi leaves - 2 tbsp 4. Turmeric - a pinch 5. Unsalted butter - ½ tsp 6. Whole jeera - a pinch 7. Coriander powder - a pinch 8. Hing - a pinch 9. Cold pressed oil of your choice - ½ tsp
Procedure 1. Boil the potato in pressure cooker until soft. Peel the skin from the cooked potato and mash it well. 2. Wash the methi leaves well and chop finely. 3. Heat the kadai. Add oil, sputter jeera. Add the chopped methi leaves and saute well. Once it is cooked, remove from heat. 4. Add hing, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Add the mashed aloo and Atta . No need to add any extra water. Mix and knead well. We are looking for a consistency that is more potato and less atta. 5. Sprinkle little flour and roll/flatten it to out thick (so the baby is able to pick and hold it). 6. Heat the tava. Smear the butter on the tava and once heated cook the paratha evenly on both sides.
You can increase the quantity above and make for adults as well. For adults modify by adding salt as required along with chilli powder and amchur powder while kneading the dough.
Enjoy! Hope your babies enjoy this recipe 🥰
