I've been going through my files trying to make sure that everything is labelled correctly in regards to the "who, what, when and where". These four photos in particular, I could never nail down a location other than "Germany". I do know that he year is 1984 and that the driver of the 635CSi is Volker Strycek participating in the Deutsche Produktionswagen Meisterschaft (AKA the German Production Car Championship). So I decided to see what our AI friend Grok had to say. I asked.. "Where exactly did Volker Strycek drive the number 32 BMW 635CSi in the 1984 German Production Car Championship?" ...And Grok said..
"Volker Strycek drove the number 32 BMW 635CSi in the 1984 German Production Car Championship, which was held at various circuits in Germany. However, specific details about the exact circuits where he drove this particular car are not explicitly stated in the available search results. It's known that the championship included races at different locations, but without specific race-by-race data, we can only confirm that he was involved in the championship with this car.
For a more precise answer regarding specific circuits, additional details from that season's race schedules would be required. However, the web results do confirm Strycek's participation and success in the championship, securing the title in 1984 with the BMW 635CSi, despite not winning any individual races."
So there you have it.

The E24 line of cars was BMW’s first generation of the 6 series Grand Tourer cars. The 635CSi (L6) was produced from 1985-1987 with the Euro-spec of this car making around 215 horsepower. The E24 6 series was also offered with a performance M package which bumped up the horsepower to 256 and included a touring style body kit.
