MHA CHAPTER 409 SPOILERS BELOW
I could not love this guy more actually he has my whole heart
Pretty sure I've made a post about this before but I love how much BNHA commits to the fact that characters in life-or-death fights get seriously injured and those injuries have real, lasting consequences.
Most superhero or action adventure media just kind of handwaves any serious injuries, or has some in-universe explanation as to why people can completely recover from serious injuries. The occasional character might get a cool scar or maybe even lose a limb or an eye, but in BNHA it's like... almost every single character that gets into a really serious situation ends up scarred and/or disabled in some way and that's such an interesting route to go.
Especially when there are canonically characters with healing powers in this universe, and it would be very easy to magically heal any and all injury. But it's a conscious choice and a theme in this story that serious fights result in serious injuries that don't magically go away and it's truly one of my favourite things about BNHA.
this expression in HD … I’m not doing well
