          The blond actually stopped what he was doing, and looked Inosuke dead in the eyes.. Or the boar’s eyes.. Might as well be his eyes with the amount of time he wore the thing. Now, back to the matter at hand. Zenitsu cocked his head to the side, offering a bewildered and almost worried expression.

“ Are you… Serious..? ”

           The golden slayer’s question, although not intentionally condescending, could have been interpreted as such.. However, before he could give the chance for a reply, he opened his mouth once more, assuming that Inosuke was in fact serious.. Because, well, he was Inosuke..

“ A friend is like…… ”  

          Hm..!  Turns out explaining what a friend is would be a little harder than he originally thought!!  “ A friend is someone you can depend on and trust, I guess?? Like.. uuuuh.. Well.. Someone you like to be around!! Someone that like to be around you too!! And they usually stick it out with you!! ” Or at least, the ones that last.. Obviously, Zenitsu didn’t have a very good grasp on what true friendship was himself..

bleeding out

send “bleeding out” for a starter where your muse is bleeding out and mine has to help them. add “reverse” for the roles to be switched!

It’s so strange, seeing someone who looks so much like himself being hurt so badly. To the extent that he’s certain he feels the full impact of the explosion, despite being significantly farther away from its source.

It takes another moment to fully process before he notices the trail of blood running from where the blast had started to where his twin was lying now.

“Hey, Hey, stop that! You’re gonna make us look bad!” He hoists the other’s body up from the ground to put a hand over the wound on his back. The bleeding area is far larger than his hand can cover, so he begins to looks around for something better to prevent the ground from becoming and redder.

          Separated from his companions, feet worked carefully, moving him down dark and humid streets. The only sound filling the eerily quiet environment was his own heartbeat, steady yet fearful.. He’d managed to keep a hold on himself, until the sound of pandemonium violated his senses and echoed in the distance. Suddenly startled into a sprint, he briefly tried to make out what the voices were saying, however trying to distinguish them when they were so chaotically twisting with one another was hopeless. Thoughts and panic were interrupted by an abrupt and violent collision, the force sending him along with the unidentified being flying to the stone path beneath.

“ AAEEEEII!! GET AWAY FROM ME!! I DON’T HAVE ANYTHING YOU WANT!! I’M JUST MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS—!! ”

          His shrieks were accompanied by hefty shoves and kicks, attempts to rid himself of the other.. Until he realized just who full body tackled him ( whether or not it was intentional, he was still ignorant to ), and he went completely deadpan.

“ Inosuke. You SCARED me. ”

          Words dripped venom as he delivered one last shove in his companions direction.. However his fit was interrupted by a series of words associated with their circumstance he hoped to forget. ❝ i could hear screams … ❞ The color, once more drained from his face and he begun to shake upon recalling the howls of terror and anguish..

“ D-D’you think it’s the demon..? ”

          He already knew the answer.. But part of him refused to believe what he’d heard..

“ Inosuke. ”

          Zenitsu paused, taking a deep breath in through his nose..

“ He’s infuriating.. And really dumb sometimes… But… ”

          Previously exasperated features softened as he thought about how their relationship has changed over time.. Of course, Zenitsu still found himself slightly frightened of his wild companion.. But not nearly as much as he used to be..

“ I really do consider him one of my closest friends.. Even if he’s.. y’know.. ” An awkward gesture was made with his hand, “ You can really rely on him!! He’s really talented too, every now and then he actually surprises me.. ”
