Complete Upper Body Workout at Home (Pyramid Style)
It can be difficult to train your complete upper body especially biceps and back without any equipments at home but this ladder/pyramid style body weight only workout will target all of your major upper body muscles (lats, biceps, shoulders, chest, triceps, and lower back). The ladder style training will maximize time under tension so you can build endurance, strength, and even size for your upper body muscles at home with just two chairs and your body weight. Here are the five exercises with the main muscles they target: 1. Single Leg Wide Pushups (alternate legs): targets mainly your chest 2. Inverted Rows using Two Sturdy Chairs: targets mainly your lats and biceps 3. Shoulder Pushups: targets mostly your shoulders 4. Back Crunches: targets mostly your lower back 5. 3 Tricep Pushups + 6 Tricep Pushup Pulses: targets mostly your triceps Workout Formats: (upper body dynamic warmup) Round 1: 5 intervals of 50 sec: perform exercise 1 to 5 with zero rest time in between rest 30 to 60 sec (depends on your fitness level) Round 2: 5 intervals of 40 sec: perform exercise 1 to 5 with zero rest time in between rest 30 to 60 sec (depends on your fitness level) Round 3: 5 intervals of 30 sec: perform exercise 1 to 5 with zero rest time in between rest 30 to 60 sec (depends on your fitness level) Round 4: 5 intervals of 20 sec: perform exercise 1 to 5 with zero rest time in between rest 30 to 60 sec (depends on your fitness level) Round 5: 5 intervals of 10 sec: perform exercise 1 to 5 with zero rest time in between (static stretch cool down for your upper body) This workout would be ~15 min long if you rest 45 sec between each round.
