A rich and flavorful Bolognese sauce made with ground beef and pork, slow-cooked to perfection. This keto-friendly version omits traditional high-carb ingredients like pasta, making it suitable for a low-carb lifestyle.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 lb ground pork. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes. 1 can 6 oz tomato paste. 1/2 cup beef broth. 1 tsp dried oregano. 1 tsp dried basil. 1/2 tsp dried thyme. Salt and pepper to taste. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese optional, for serving.
Instructions: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and ground pork until fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Transfer the cooked meat to a slow cooker. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, oregano, basil, thyme, salt, and pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally. Once done, adjust seasoning if needed.
