Upon seeing his mother, he immediately pulled away from his father's grasp and ran straight towards her. Though, not without tripping once as he made his way over. But he did not cry, because like his father, he was growing to be a strong, brave little man. Like father, like son as the saying goes.

With the absence of parents Machina had not been conditioned to handle things such as puberty and thoughts future. There was always this aura that made him seem less approachable amongst others, but he wasn't completely unsociable either. Machina was able to keep the casual chitchat of mundane things, but there was really only one person he could, and actually wanted to talk with. Without hesitation, he smiled at the girl and said, "Happy Birthday Rem."
Any birthday wishes that were sent her way warmed the girl's heart, but there was always one person's words who meant just that much more to her, and here he was wishing her a happy birthday.
Rem smiled at him in return, her hands clasping together in front of her as they always did when she spoke genuinely.
"Thank you so much, Machina! I'm so happy you remembered!"
