And finally, my pick of the bunch. Crazy good value and literally acres of class available in this beautiful Bentley Brooklands. This particular Brooklands comes with an interesting history including a starring role with the Duke of Edinburgh at the 2005 65th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain celebrations. It looks to be in outstanding condition in the available video walkthrough and is listed with a £15-20,000 estimate. Next up, this rather wonderful little Volvo P1800S. I nearly bought one of these about 20 years ago, but on arrival at the vendors property I discovered that he had been more than a little generous with his description of the cars condition which was more 'bran find' than 'showroom'. Needless to say I walked away from that particular motorcar and am still yet to scratch this particular itch. Another day, another unbelievable collection of desirable and hugely tempting classics to choose from at yet another brilliantly curated auction. I am of course referring to the forthcoming Bonhams July Motoring Auction, which kicks off with lot 10, a 1927 Raleigh 248CC Model 14 vintage motorbike, on July 25 at 13:00 BST. Honestly there are far too many wonderful machines on offer at this auction for me to feature them all, but here are just 10 of my picks from the lots on offer.

Other highlights not featured in the small selection below include a stunning ‘93 Porsche 911 Turbo, two '69 Jag E-Type Series 2 Coupes, a '96 Aston Marton Virage Volante which presents beautifully in rare Litchfield Black, an '85 Aston Martin V8 Zagato(!), Maserati Merak SS coupe and soo much more. Honestly I could browse this catalogue for days! Fantastic machines abound…
