guys ive been watching the original samurai jack and this is what i think

my modern domestic au where i don’t have to worry about the butterfly effect, aku is not an evil tree but instead a crotchety old man in the neighborhood who likes to bother everyone, there are no time portals and there are no magic swords, and it isn’t jack’s destiny to defeat aku. instead, he’s just some guy with his white husky puppy, living with his boyfriend and his boyfriends wife. 

i mean, okay. jack and scotsman still have the swords, but they’re not magic. they’re just cherished family heirlooms they keep around the house.
