Snotlout poem
Inspired by all the recent Snotlout-posting that has come across my dash, I've finally decided to share the poem I wrote nearly 2 months ago. I hope you enjoy it!

Someone asked me to draw Snotlout so I did
Very young Snotlout from around b1 b2
Bonus older ver at b10 to b11 because I was trying to figure to figure out what his face looked like
Fucking hell I love this book. It's unfortunate I'm in class, otherwise I'd cry my eyes out.
Bro, Fishlegs bring into strong ladies out of his league is SO REAL! Camicazi- and this may be an unpopular opinion, but I love how it feels natural that she seems to like Hiccup. I love how it's insanely subtext, but it's noticeable. I ship it, because I do like the idea of Camicazi just being absolutely obvious, but she still thinks she's being sneaky about it. ALSO! I love how Fishlegs is so conflicted about Alvin being his dad! Even after disowning him, after watching him die by nonconsensual space travel, he's still like "...Was there anything good about him?" He's still a boy who just found out who his father was, he's still conflicted, and he's so awesome, I hope he pulled Barbara. I love that he's actually starting a No-Name Tribe, for those who don't fit in and are weird like him. Fishlegs is easily my favorite character, because his writing is so damn good! I absolutely love him.
The epilogue... Man I'm fucking BAWLING! The fact he's waiting for Toothless at the end... I'm gonna fucking cry again holy shit. It's so good and I love this book series and it's beautiful and I am mourning the fact we could've had it in animated form.
"He's ALIVE!" cried Stoic the Vast, embracing the nearest thing to him, which happened to be his repellent nephew, Snotface Snotlout. "He's ALIVE!"
"YES, I have this feeling that he probably is," snarled Snotlout through gritted teeth. "What excellent news."
This was so funny I had to redraw it...
Bonus: Bald, cleanshaven Stoic jumpscare. I hadn't put the hair on him yet and I was wondering why he looked so wrong...
The way the instrumental of Vocaloid's "Servant Of Evil" started to play in my mind—
ah when- when..the,the..character’s inferiority complex is so bad its tragic.
Hiccup and Snotlout as Opposites
Ok so I haven’t posted anything for a couple of days now. I didn’t have any finished art and I lost motivation to draw (though I am working on something else rn). But I wanted to post something for day 11 because How to Betray a Dragon’s Hero is my favorite httyd book
So I wrote something
When rereading some of my favorite scenes in How to Betray a Dragon’s Hero, I noticed that Hiccup and Snotlout are opposites in a lot of ways.
Some are very obvious: Hiccup is small and (physically) weak where Snotlout is big and strong, Snotlout is the perfect viking while Hiccup doesn’t fit in, Hiccup is forced to be a leader even though he doesn’t want to be and Snotlout will never really be a leader no matter how much he wants to be one
But they are also opposites is some ways that are less obvious:
-Hiccup’s friendships grow stronger and become, in some ways, more important as the books go on. Meanwhile Snotlout’s friends kind of disappear; Fireworm leaves in book 9, and Dogsbreath is (if I recall correctly) only mentioned briefly in book 10 and doesn’t show up at all in book 11
-As Hiccup grows confident, Snotlout starts to hate himself more and more
-Hiccup’s relationship with Stoick improves while Snotlout’s relationship with Baggybum deteriorates
-Hiccup is emotionally very open, while Snotlout hides his tears and pretends he’s okay
-The torture scene in book 11 starts with Hiccup alone and trapped with the Dragonmarkers doubting him and Snotlout being praised for his betrayal by his allies. It ends with Hiccup escaping after proving his resilience and determination to everyone (even the Alvinsmen admire him) and Snotlout being hated by the Dragonmarkers and realizing he’s stuck on Alvin and The Witch’s side of the war (“They would never take you back. No, you are ours now, Snotlout, ours forever.”)
And lastly:
-Hiccup wants the world to change. Snotlout wants it to go back to the way it was*
*I'm planning on talking about this one some more in a separate post, I just don't have enough time rn
Edit: I wrote it! It's here :D
