I know, I know... We suck. It’s been months without an update! But... a hiatus in posting means we have multiple chapters to share! 

And, a preview: 

“If I know Beetee well enough, he left something for us. Look around,” she says.

They all do.

After a few minutes of searching, Johanna and Jordan move to the kitchenette, and Katniss pokes her bow through some discarded computer parts,h while Austin heads to the bedroom.

“What are we looking for?” Katniss hears Jordan ask Johanna.

She also hears her friend’s reply. “Anything.”

She’s right: not one of them knows what to look for, but Katniss has a feeling there’s something here.

It’s a few more minutes of shuffling and looking when Austin comes running out of the bedroom with his arms full. “I found something.”

At his words, Katniss sweeps the coffee table clean in the living area. Jordan and Jo walk back in, too.

“What have you got, kid?” Johanna asks.

“This.” Austin lies a notebook, a small tablet, several walkie talkies, and a small signal jammer on the table. It looks like a stash.

“Wow,” Katniss says, “He sure did leave a lot for us.” She’s barely done speaking when Austin moves again, this time going for the notebook and beginning to frantically flip through it. Still searching, she realizes. “What are you looking for?”

“A message,” Austin answers. “Why else have a notebook?” Katniss and the others watch him scan over what looks like an endless amount of pages of notes on the Capitol mainframe. He stops when he comes across a page full of jumbled letters. “Bingo.”
