Book Study #5
My overall experience working with a group for the novel The Book of Negroes gave me a further understandment on the entire book. As each of us completed a chapter and turned our pages we were able to discuss and remind eachother of important details that we may have not picked up on before; being able to help with our weekly literary tasks, book studies, film review, presentation and final essay. It was more enjoyable having three other classmates reading the same novel, although at some points it was difficult trying to catch up with one another we were all able to complete our tasks and finish the novel in the end. The Book of Negroes was always a novel I had intended to read, but had never had the chance. If I would'nt have been assigned to read this novel in particular in the literary circle, I don't think I would have gotten through this entire book without the help of my group. After reading The Book of Negroes and a more in depth analysis I was able to understand and enjoy this novel all at once.
