Could you explain 100 days of booklr to me?

I can’t find the original post (if anyone can add a link please do) but I believe it was started as an effort to counter the fact that a lot of people were feeling that Booklr wasn’t as active as it has been in the past.

So it’s a challenge to create regular content and inspire discussions and basically get people involved in the community more.

Oooo what are the small town thrillers you're into? Sounds intriguing!

I recently read The May Queen Murders (that’s a link to my goodreads reveiw, it’s the top one). Now I’m reading The Female of the Species which is really well written but deals with dark subject matter. I started it yesterday and got about halway through it but it triggered me pretty badly and I had to stop for the day. I’m probably gonna finish it tomorrow tho because it’s THAT good. It emphasizes female freindship and solidarity and there’s actual communication and understanding which is my BIGGEST issue with most YA.

Other small town murder mysteries/thrillers that i’ve read are Dark Places (it’s good but gross), Sharp Objects, Wax (though technically a bit of a mystery it’s more of a comedy I guess), The Merciless (not so much focused on the small town aspect but still good). Grasshopper Jungle is very small town but isn’t exactly a thriller/mystery. Lol, i need to read more. I only know so few.

Find a teacher and shop through Scholastic!! Yes the book clubs still exist. Literally...ask any teacher to sign up. It's free for them, shop online, and even if they're not your current teacher, you can always arrange to pick the books up from them. Can you beat $3 for a book?? $8 exclusive paperbacks for things only released as $18 hardbacks?? (This may be USA specific, apologies.) Oh and Bookoutlet.com!!! They're getting SO many new titles nowadays!

49: When is your favorite time to read?

At night before bed is a wonderful time. Weekend reading is awesome. Reading when there are no study-related obligations is just amazing (it really doesn’t get better than that, I tell you). Basically, reading at all times is cool.
