This part at the end of Trespasser is actually my favorite Inquisitor line in the whole damn game lmao. I always look forward to this moment, it’s kind of cathartic to see the person in the eye of the storm actually go “FUCK this mess, FUCK everything, and FUCK me for having to fix this shit again”
the sad thing is that i can mildly understand cullenites cause his personality is kinda sweet outside of. everything to do with mages/templars/spirits/etc. i think its genuinely cute how hes like a big time no nonsense war commander yet hes all shy and awkward abt romantic stuff. i have had fictional crushes that have a similar vibe
but why did they have to make him so unattractive??? he is about as sexy as a loaf of bread. hes ”handsome” in a way that is utterly forgettable. they even straightened his hair to make him more boring!! yet he’s like crack to straight women. absolutely bewildering. blackwall is RIGHT THERE. he has the same nonthreatening vibe except rebellious youth and he is more likely to have nipple piercings AND you KNOW he hangs dong under that teddybear exterior
anyway what was i talking about? oh yeah im disappointed abt the cullen romance but i think its at least slightly because im just NOT attracted to him at all. glad the hets have this generic sock model to fawn over, not into it but we get to have dorian and sera so its fine

replayed this the first time yesterday. and goddamn. i freaking love this DLC. it’s so underrated. the whole gang Inquisitor Ameridan had, their mission, it deserves its own fuckin game. i want MORE of this guy!! i was blown away by the lore on the first playthrough, but this second one cemented it.
he was a DALISH ELF MAGE INQUISITOR with belief in both the Maker and the Elven pantheon. his gf was an ELF MAGE INSOMNIARI. His best friend was the founder of fucking Orlais, and his gang also involved a Templar, a Dwarven alchemist, and a goddamn spirit.
they cannot seriously give us shit this good and NOT include at least a book or a comic about their adventures, jeeez
My biggest issue with DAI when playing a templar aligned andrastian- is no one calls you on it at all. Its like romancing c*llen. It is the ‘right’ choice and isn’t questioned at all. If I hadn’t ended up playing the other two games and ya know learning more- you’d never know how much that narrative is being pushed. Like the clean the mage rebellion into being a grey issue when in dao and da2, well, the abuses are so clear.
Im currently experiencing that, as ive never played a human pro-templar andrastian before, and its blowing my mind how much less resistance i see for this Inkys views as opposed as an elf, pro-mage OR non-religious inky. its fucked up! there was DEFINITELY a narrative in place for what the Inky was most likely to believe, and the game was written along that narrative. and refusing to play along makes you some sort of a marginal minority.
i genuinely dont understand how proclaiming to be the Maker’s chosen one is considered a good option, instead of a maniacal one.
i did it. i broke up with dorian right after we had sex and he told me he really likes me. and it HURTS.
