In the movie Home what if the boove and the gorn are the answer to the Fermi Paradox? Boove probably settle on worlds that have sufficient resources which easily could already support life. Also like the boove are very efficient at relocating an entire planet's sentient population against their will(on a planet of 7.7 billion they missed 1 that we know of) by the start of the movie suggesting they have experience in this. And the gorn tend to destroy planets that the boove lived on. If they do it enough they could quickly clear out atleast a sizable chunk of the galaxy.
On a potentially darker point, they did seem more than eager to utilize human infrastructure. We also see they are capable of living in the ocean, on space ships, and even on the moon. Lastly they have access to human information, but information that is lacking in certain key areas, like say, stuff that might be left out of radio and TV transmissions? What if the boove are intentionally seeking out inhabited planets? We do see that the Home universe isn't empty at the end, you know, after the boove gorn conflict is ended for long enough that word has spread that it is safe. So what if the only species who broadcasts for long were the boove, and those who don't know better, the others being lucky enough to be warned by something before the boove turn their attention to them
