the ministry isn’t at all what she expects in truth. she’s impressed, for the most part - but that’s before she’s met anyone. some can be quite wicked, if there’s any truth to the rumors across the sea. she longs to explore the various departments and halls out of sheer curiosity, but she has an appointment to keep and does not intend to be late. the lift is already waiting, and beatrice smiles warmly at the other witches and wizards inside as they descend together. she exits several floors down, and follows the signs to the auror office with rather seamless ease.
she knocks once, twice on the doorframe as she pokes her head into the correct office, or so the nameplate says.
“mr. scamander? i do hope i’m not interrupting anything.”
