Saphira looks at the baby heart rate monitor stuff that the nurse put on her belly. "God, I hope I'm not stuck here for like twenty something hours"
Leo holds her hand, unable to take his eye, or his mind, off of anything going on. He still thought he had another month to prepare and now it was happening. "Oh, uh, what babe? Sorry I was distracted..."
Scarlett rushes up to Saphira's hospital room
Saphira looks up at him now, not too happy that she had to repeat herself. Actually, she was just not too happy that this was happening already. She didn't even get the chance to watch those child delivery movies that she wanted to watch. "I said- " she stopped short when she saw Scarlett. "Finally! I texted you like fifteen minutes ago!"
Scarlett walked over to the side of her bed and reached for her sisters hand, holding it tightly. "I know, I'm sorry. I was at Derek's house but I left as soon as I saw it. How are you feeling? Does anything hurt?"
Leo moves out for the way for the sister, walking to the other side of the bed and watching the little monitor and all the wires connected.
Leo he pulls out his phone, checking to see if he had a text from Finn or Emmy. He had texted them on their way to the hospital needing them here with them but... no response.
Saphira holds Scar's hand. "That's okay. And of course! I'm in labor. Did you call dad and tell him?" looks over at Leo and frowns a little because she can't tell what's going through his head right now. "Babe, you should call your parents."
Scarlett nodded. "Yeah, he's just getting things ready, bringing a few things for you guys and the baby in case we're here for a while." She glanced down at all the wires and needles hooked up to her sister and feel a big lightheaded for a moment. She'd never liked hospitals.
Leo "Yea... Yea babe, good idea. I'm gonna go call them." He kisses her on the fore head and gives her hand a quick squeeze before going to call Finn, Emmy, and his Ma and Pa.
Scarlett sits on the edge of her bed once Leo leaves the room. "He seems nervous."
Saphira she nodded her head. "Oh, okay. I hope I'm not stuck here for hours. I want to just be done with this done."
Saphira she smiles at Leo and watches him walk out before looking back to her sister. "Can you blame him? He's about to be a daddy." she chuckled lightly, then gripped the sheets, groaning in pain as she felt another contraction hit her. "Fuck.."
Scarlett kind of freaks out when she sees her in pain. "Do you need me to call the nurse?"
Patricia came into Saph's room, holding food and coffee and tea.
Patricia places everything on the table and stands next to Saph with an apologetic smile on her face,"Sorry, I was in the shower when you texted."
Leo calls Finn and Emmy several times, unable to leave voice mails. Finally he gave up, told his parents the news, then sulked back in the room putting on a brave smile for Saph. "Ma and Pa are ecstatic. Ma wants to come say hi, is that alright?
Scarlett looks down at her hand in Saphs with Patricia and Leo come in. She knows they're not her biggest fans.
Saphira "Nonono." she shook her head and sighed when the pain went away. "It's just a contraction."
Scarlett "Oh okay."
Leo "You're doing great, babe. I know it's early but wow, you;re amazing you know that?"
Patricia glances at Scarlett but doesn't say anything to her.
Saphira smiled a little when she saw her best friend walk into the room. "That's okay, hon. All that matters is that all of you are here right now."
Saphira smiles bigger when her man walks back in. "Yeah, that's fine, I guess."
Saphira "I don't feel too amazing right now."
Scarlett "How far apart are your contractions?"
Leo "You look amazing."
Patricia raises her eyebrow,"Are you going to throw up?"
Saphira thinks about it a for a second and looks over at the clock. "Eight minutes apart I think." she said before turning to look at Leo and made a face. "Ew, no I don't. "
Saphira "No. No sickness. Just fucking pain. Can you guys help me turn to my side. My back is killing me."
Patricia gently places her hands behind Saph's back and pushes her so that she's lying on her side.
Leo "I think you do." He held her hand, pulling it up to his lips for a slight kiss. He didn't talk to the other two girls, knowing neither approved, and he wasn't going to try to prove himself either. His sole focus, was Saphira and making her comfortable.
Scarlett helped Patricia move Saphira onto her side and then helped her sister get comfortable. "Is this okay? Are you good like this?"
Saphira "Thanks." she says, feeling more comfortable now that she was on her side.
Scarlett pulls out her phone to read a text message. "Dad says he'll be here in a bit"
Saphira: "Yeah, I'm okay like this." she said to her sister. She grinned at Leo. He could be just what she needed when he felt like it and she was glad that he was there with her and didn't just walk out on her now that reality was hitting them and there was no turning back. "Can I get a kiss?" she asked looking into his blue eyes.
Patricia sat on one of the vacant chairs, not feeling like playing with Leo or with Scarlett, and she was really only here for Saph.
Leo "Of course." He leans down, planting a light one on her lips before sitting in the chair next to the bed reserved for the father, checking his phone again.
Scarlett stays on the side of Saphira's bed and gently places a hand on her belly.
Leo: [i dont think so! they're just altheir for Saph, not each other lol ]
Saphira smiles against his lips and and watches him, only looking away when she heard her sister's voice. "Okay, good. "
Saphira "I feel like I'm at a funeral here. It's so quiet."
Scarlett "You know that when dad gets here he won't be able to shut up."
Leo "And my mom will probably start crying."
Leo "Whatcha wanna talk about babe?"
Saphira "Well either of those things would be better than just it being silent. You three are gonna have to learn to get along."
Saphira grips Leo's hand when she feels a stronger contraction now.
Saphira "I hate being a woman right now."
Patricia looks up from her phone and doesn't say anything and just returns to replying to emails.
Leo "Deep breaths. And don't worry babe, we get along. Right guys?" He gives them a pleading look, forcing a smile.... "We're just all worried about you is all."
Scarlett looks down at the wires attached to her.
Leo "Look what I brought." He let's go temporarily and walks to his hospital bag, which was packed at the last minute because he hadn't expected it to happen so soon. He pulled out a laptop and SVU.
Scarlett ".. yeah"
Leo "Figured Stabler's sexy jaw line'd make this easier for ya."
Saphira does as leo said and takes deep breaths until it passes away. "Don't lie, it's not pretty." she said giving them all a look. She knew her sister and her best friend were not Leo's biggest fan, but only because they didn't know him like she did.
Patricia looks up from her phone and smiles brightly,"Of course. We just want to make sure that you're well."
Saphira she smiled at him. "Thanks. Stabler's sexiness is just a distraction though. The only thing that would make it easier is if y'all just put your differences aside."
Scarlett didn't really know what to say. She knew that Patricia wasn't too fond of her and it was obvious that she and Leo didn't get along. But she would be nice to them for her sister
Patricia pursed her lips but quickly smoothed over her expression, figuring that she might as well learn to get along with the others.
Leo "Babe..." He have her a look that he hoped conveyed, 'Do we really have to do this right now?'
Scarlett goes to sit in the chair by Patricia, hopefully showing Saph that they're able to get along.
Patricia glances at Scarlett and gives her a small smile and gestures at the food she brought,"There's stuff there if you want any. I figured that we might be waiting for a long time, so I brought food along."
Saphira "Yes! Face it, we'll stuck with each other now. Each of you is so important to me and if I'm the least bit important to you, you'd at least try to be civil with one another. Tonight especially. We're a family now. Leo's not gonna go anywhere and neither are you two." she said looking over at them as she spoke.
Leo knew Saph wasn't going to back down, so he turns to the two girls. "Look, ladies. I know you don't like me, and to be honest I'm not exactly y'alls biggest fans. But something tells me Saph refuses to get this baby out until we get along and I don't know about you but I'm ready to meet my baby girl. So for now.... truce?" He offers his hands out.
Scarlett nodded at Patricia, thankful that she understood what she had been trying to do. "Thanks.. I asked my dad to bring us some coffee so it'll go good with whatever you brought."
Scarlett then looked at Leo, watching as he spoke. "Fine, truce."
Leo smiled going to shake her hand.
Saphira she smiles a little, seeing her getting along somewhat. "Thank you, guys. I fucking love y'all and -" she groaned in pain again as she felt another contractions. They were getting closer and closer now. She tried to do the breathing technique, but she could barely think because of the pain. "This thing she needs to come out already!"
Leo "hey, that thing is my little Rockstar. Say please."
Scarlett just watches them.
Leo "Is she kicking?"
Saphira "I don't care! I just want her out. I don't know if I can take any more of this shit."
Leo "You say that now, but when she's screaming and keeping us up all night I bet you'll change your mind."
Saphira "Yes, but not that badly. It's just the fucking pain I can't deal with." she wiping the tears that formed in eyes. "It hurts so much."
Leo "Want me to get the doctor? There's gotta be something we can do to help...."
Saphira "Could you? "
Leo "Of course babe, its like the easiest fucking thing. Whatever you need."
Saphira "Thank you." fixes herself on the bed so that she was on her back again.
Leo runs out of the room, giving Finn and Emmy one more call as he searched for the doctor. "Hey, my girlfriend is in a lot of pain, is there anything we can do?"
Leo returns with the doctor a few minutes later.
Saphira looks up when the door opens. "About time! Can we get this thing out of me yet?"
Patricia snickers,"It's not a thing Saph, it's a baby."
Doctor Guy chuckles because she's not the first girl to have ever said that. "Well, let me check, Ms. Moore." he idk does his doctor stuff and checks her. "Looks like you got your wish. You're just about ready to start pushing. I'm gonna few you a few more minutes though. I'll be right back. Do you guys have any questions?"
Leo "Yea everything is fine right... anything I can do?"
Doctor Guy "Just the same thing you've been doin'. There's nothin' else you can do right now. If that's all, I'll be right back.
Saphira looks up at Leo, and holds his hand.
Leo "Yea, sure."
Leo "Hey babe, look at me."
Saphira looks at him, nervous now. "We're gonna have our baby."
Leo "I know, I'm excited. You got this you know that?"
Saphira "But what if something goes wrong??"
Leo "Then I'll fix it, okay. Don't worry. Soon we get to meet out little rock star."
Saphira nods her head and groans, almost screaming when she feels another contraction worst than her previous ones.
Leo "Here babe, hold me hand. " He kissed her forehead as the doctor walked back in with his team. "I'm so proud of you Saph, and so sorry I did this to you. I love you."
Saphira held his hand and took deep breaths, glad when it passed and looks up at him. "I love you, too. "
Doctor Guy idk he does his doctory stuff because I have no clue what they do at this point. "Alright, on your next contraction we're gonna need you to push, okay?"
Leo "You hear him babe, Push?"
Saphira she gets the next contractions and whatever, a lot of pushing happens then they hear the baby crying and her eyes tear up even more.
Doctor Guy other doctory stuff happens and he finally takes out the baby. "Congratulations, it's a girl. Would you like to cut the cord?" he asks Leo.
Leo Leo's eyes stare widely up at the doctor, and be kisses Saph's knuckles before taking a step forward and dropping her hand. He nods his head, then does whatever they do when they cut the cord.
Leo His eyes tear up, slightly and he turns around to Saph and gives her a huge smile. "She's beautiful."
Saphira she's crying a little of happiness. "Can I see her? Can I see my baby?"
Doctor Guy they finish up with saph and stuff while the nurse cleans up the baby then they bring her to Saph.
Saphira carries her baby, smiling really big even though she's tired as fuck. "Hey baby. I'm your mommy." she says touching her hand carefully.
Leo leans down towards his newborn baby girl and his beautiful girlfriend and leans in, giving her a huge kiss. "I'm so proud of you babe... Look." He cradles the babies face with his hand, unable to take her eyes off of her little face.
Saphira kisses him back then grins happily, just looking at their baby girl. "She's the most beautiful baby I've ever seen. Can you believe just minutes ago this little angel was inside of me?" looks at him, really truly happy right now. "Thank you, babe."
Leo "Yea and you were calling her an 'It' " He laughed, "She looks like you. Turns out even your looks are as stubborn as you are."
Saphira "I had my reasons at the time." she said chuckling lightly then pressed a kiss on their newborn's forehead. "You love it so shut up. She's not gonna have dark hair. Look she barely has a thing on her head." she giggles lightly. "My poor baby. Scar and I were born with a full head of hair so I think she takes that after you."
Leo "That means she'll be bald by the time she's 30, my poor daughter. I wonder if her eyes will stay that blue."
Saphira "God, i hope not. She needs to have fabulous hair like her mom." lightly touches her baby's face. "I hope so. My little Sierra Benet."
Leo "Our, and we love you already little rock star."
Saphira "We love you so much. " kisses her forehead then turns to look at Leo. "And I love you so much." kisses him.
Saphira: "Do you wanna hold her?"
Leo nods his head slowly, a little nervous yet excited.
Saphira "Here, take her." she smiled at him.
Leo held out his arms and let the baby slowly slide into his arms. He rocked her slightly, being as gentle as he used to be back when Emmy was born... where was she?
Saphira smiles big as she watches him hold their daughter, but she couldn't help but notice he seem distracted. "Are you okay?"
Leo "Yea-yea I'm fine. I'm just a dad is all."
Saphira "Don't worry, you'll gonna be great with her. I already know it. " yawns a little because she's tired.
