#GeoffreyHolder , #BoscoeHolder's brother, was a dancer, actor , and multidisciplinary artist. He was probably most remembered for designing the costumes for #TheWiz and playing #BaronSamedi. It was a lot of fun to paint a full body this time, which I thought was appropriate for a dancer. #BoscoeHolder was one of Trinidad's most preeminent contemporary painters. His work is well known around the world and is famous for his use of color and depiction of people from the Caribbean. I remember being young and being frustrated that I didn't often see people that looked like me or my family in art. When I first saw Boscoe Holder's work, it was like looking into a mirror.
