Negative opinion about a FT character? Well, it HAS to be one of the mods from this blog and can't be any number of other fans that may have reason to criticize characters from the series. Also, you DEFINITELY aren't allowed to criticize something and still claim to like it. Seriously, though, there are a lot of us with legitimate criticisms of the characters and writing in this series, and that doesn't make us "lesser" fans than those who do nothing but praise it.
Just as a note about the whole Gajevy bit. I get both sides of the argument and both have merit, but it should be noted that Levy actively hid from Gajeel for a while after he joined the guild. Chapter 105 has her saying Lucy is brave for talking to him because he's so scary. In the same chapter, even if she said she was over it, she was still hiding behind something in their next interaction. [Cont.]
[Cont.] Gajeel didn’t fight back when Jet and Droy tried to fight him and also didn’t really fight Laxus. Gajeel also protected Levy from Laxus’s attack. Does that excuse what Gajeel did before he was in the guild? Certainly not, but the character development can’t really be ignored whether you support the ship or don’t care for it.
The anon seems to forget that both the English actors for Gray and Juvia don't like the ship, but they must not matter because LOL THE DUB SUX or whatever the popular notion is about English versions of anime. Many people try to emulate what they see in various forms of media, and that's exactly why pushing for such an unhealthy relationship in a widely read series is not okay. You don't have to be an adult to realize that this is awful. I knew that when I was still a teenager, I mean damn.
Hmm a wolf, she feels alive with dirt under her feet and surronded by nature not to mention she’s pretty dangerous in a fight.
Which music genre would best describe your Inquisitor?
Chill music definietly, she has a soothing and steady presence.
What season reflects their personality best?
Autumn,
If your Inquisitor was a force of nature, what kind would they be? (hurricane, earthquake, etc.)
A tornado, sudden and chaotic in battle, at least when knives are involved.
What’s their alignment? (chaotic good, neutral evil, etc.)
True Good
Which element best describes them?
Earth, which incidentally is something she tends to be covered in a lot.
What scent would they be associated with, if any?
She smell’s like lillies and jasmine, she will often have her room adorned in beautiful flowers and the scents linger on her throughout the day.
Do they have a background story?
She does although it’s fairly long so short version: She’s a triplet, had an identical sister and a brother, sister turned out to be a mage and became the clan first while Eve and her brother trained as a hunters.
She and her sister made a pact to make their clan better when they were kids, with her sister as the Keeper and Eve as head Hunter. They wanted to accept other elves not just the dalish, they wanted to make their lives and everyone elses better.
Her sister was killed at the age of 16 by bandits trying to steal and elven artefact her clan was trying to save, Eve fell apart while her brother used his grief to drive him forward. Big dream for a couple of kids but they were determined.
Eve’s uncle chose her as his apprentice despite her constant complaining and disobeying, eventually fell into her role as a scout and exploring and protecting became her entire life.
When she ‘joined’ the inquisition she decided to do what she and her sister has planned all those years ago, making the world better.
Do they have any family?
Presently she has one brother, a father and mother. Her uncle died in Wycome.
Are they better with children, animals, or neither?
While she gets along with both she tends to get along better with animals, she likes to spend time with Skyhold’s cat and feed it milk from the kitchen.
What’s the Inquisitor’s favourite food?
She is absolutely blown away by Orlesian food after living on so much simple food most her life but antivan instantly caught her fancy. She loves the spice palettes and has a fondness for pasta.
Can they cook?
Eve can cook rabbit stew and that’s about it, any thing else she tends to either burn or undercook so she’s rarely chosen as camp cook.
Do they have any hobbies?
He loves horse riding, he could spend an entire day just roaming the hinterlands on his horse.
Are they very fashion-conscious or more practical?
Oh so practical, she was so uncomfortable at the winter palace. She prefers leathers to a gown. That being said as she grows into her role as inquisitor she is often seen im more simple dresses inspired by elvish designs rather then her hunting armour.
Are they neat or unorganised?
It depends on how she’s feeling, if she’s uplifted and motivated her papers will be stacked neatly as will her books and letters. However she gets tired of documents and it will slowly descend into a mess with books scattered all across her room, even on her balcony.
Who do you think they’ll get along with best among their companions, if any?
She gets on fantastically with Cole, she’s always been a compassionate person and so their friendship is pretty strong. Eve and Dorian are also very good friends, they have a kind of relationship where their so close they insult each other casually but if anyone else dares to insult the other their on that persons ass like a flea to a mabari.
Who will they romance, if anyone?
Solas, queue the sad violins.
Do they have any scars? What are they from?
She has a few small scars scattered around her body, most are from falls or scrapes while a dalish scout but she has a lot more knife wounds now than she did before the inquisition.
If they met, how would your Inquisitor get along with your Warden? Your Hawke?
She’d be so excited to meet the warden but be sorely disappointed by who Istimel really is, their on totally different wave lengths and would bicker about the others decisions a LOT. Eve would get on well with Aidan though, while he’s fairly more shy than she is they are both understanding and kind people.
What’s your Inquisitor’s opinion on each of the various races, if any?
Her opinion of humans goes up and down depending who she’s around, the inquisition has made her used to interacting and even befriending humans but she is revolted by how casually racist they are to elves and how many write their comments off as ‘normal’.
She has a strong opinion of elves, she works tirelessly to make their lives better whenever she can.
Dwarves are interesting to her because she knows so little about them, she bugged Varric with so many questions when they first met. Same thing with Qunari, she loves learning more about them despite finding the Qun very strange.
