Thoughts on Kate’s Boston Fashion (3/7)

With the coat on, this is a really nice traditional, monochromatic Kate look. I’m not someone who generally complains about Kate have 20 coats in the same color, but I really don’t understand the point of this coat. I mean it’s a nice coat. I like it a lot, but she has other similar green coats that would’ve been perfect, especially given the reason they were in Boston to begin with.

I really love when Kate wears plaid. I’m not sure whether this particular tartan had significance, but I really like it either way. The styling is really nice, too. I especially love the shoes.

Any predictions for the next country to host the Earthshot prize?

(If William does what he did last year, he may use this opportunity to announce information about next year!)

I'm hoping for a different continent this year: so perhaps a South America or Asian country? Maybe Brazil or Japan? What do you all think?

Thoughts on Kate’s Boston Fashion (5/7)

We’ve seen Kate in several versions of this suit now. Except for maybe the white one, this is my favorite. The color is stunning, and the pale pink top underneath was a great choice. I like the leg width of the pants very much. The only thing about the entire look that I would change is the bag. The color isn’t exactly the same as the suit, and it’s not different enough to contrast. In my opinion, it clashes a bit. Otherwise, this is perfection.

I was really glad to see Kate recycle this jacket. I loved it the first time she wore it, and I loved it this time, too. I might have chosen a necklace with a bit more length, but I like that you can really see this one because of its size. Everything else is on point.

Thoughts on Kate’s Boston Fashion (1/7)

Note: The rest of these posts will be in chronological order. This one is first because I had an ask about it specifically.

I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about this look. 

Here’s what I do know - The “old Hollywood” hair and makeup were absolutely amazing. I was so excited to see her in “Diana’s” emerald choker, and the earrings were perfect. I know they were a bit controversial, but I do think they worked better than anything else available to her would have, except perhaps, Charles’s emerald pendants (which may not have been available to her).

The dress and shoes are where I can’t make up my mind. The dress was A LOT of bright green, but it’s actually a color that looks great on Kate. I’m not bothered about the green dress on the green carpet necessarily, but I think I may have developed more solid feelings about the dress one way or the other if the carpet had been a different color. I don’t know. There’s something I can’t quite put my finger on that I don’t love, but I don’t think it’s the color. I don’t hate it. It’s one of those middle of the road dresses for me. Under other circumstances, I would’ve probably forgotten it existed, but because of the controversy around the green on green carpet, I’ll remember it. I also don’t love the shoes with it, but to be fair, I’m not really sure what shoes would look better.

I'm going to do a series of posts on her Boston fashion. I haven't had time yet with work, but I'm going to try to get started today. Normally, I would do the posts in chronological order, but since you asked about the Earthshot look specifically, I'll start with it.
