So for some reason all of the R2-D2 skins for my type of Roomba have gone up in smoke and disappeared. I blame Disney. Now to consider a different skin-slash-name for my thing that’s showing up like tomorrow...
I have to make a little barrier to protect some work while I'm out of the house for the day. Just in case Moomba wants to clean while I'm gone.
The cold has its advantages for my robots. Room for my radio antennae to actually be outside. Cold temps allow for safer overclocking. And lots of dead leaves and dirt for Moomba to eat.
Before and after some aesthetic upgrades.
Baby is now picking up radio signals!
We’re listening to the local music station
Nothing really new happening with the robot friends, they’re all living peacefully and doing their chores. I am considering adding more... experimental upgrades to Baby Driver. Nothing dangerous, just a radio for now and I don’t even have to take him apart to install it. Some day it’d be really nice to hook him up to a telescope and observe the stars but the materials are just a bit too spendy for now.
Day one of owning Moomba the Roomba. It has already trapped itself in two places for two different reasons. -In the bathroom by bumping the door closed -Under a table by bumping into the chairs juuuuust right in a way it thinks there’s no way out. The first time it kept itself busy by just cleaning the bathroom over and over. But under the table it beeped and played an automated message asking to come save it. Not those words exactly but you get the idea.
