Wing AU 10.2.23

DP (x DC? up to you). Clockwork, Danny. Clockwork is Kronos.

I had a mental image of Clockwork wrapping Danny in a pair of giant wings in a hug/to protect him and it spiraled into this.

Flight is not unique to ghosts. All humans have wings, wether colourful or plain, small or large, for gliding or speed.

Clockwork was a god once, with wings far larger than any human. When the Observants bound him they bound his wings as well.

Danny has always thought the harness on his mentor’s back was pretty, all bronze gears and copper plating. He’d seen weirder things from ghost wings, Ember’s wings were made of the same fire as her hair.

He didn’t know it was a prison.

He cut him free as soon as he did.

My story Falling Sea is, at its root, a story about a girl whose home and life has been uprooted, she’s suddenly given all this responsibility, and is depended on as an adult though she’s only 16.

The sequel Bound Wings, is about a life that a woman is happy living, but others from her old life have found her, and she must play a villain she has never been. She knows she will die on this path, but can’t get out.

The final is about a boy who was given the role of an adult as a child, 7 or so, and took that as a fact. He must choose between found family and friends or his future, and blood.

All my stories have a bit of me in them, I matured early on, and have moved across the country. I changed my name used in high school, but I’m reminded of my deadname too much, too many times. I was diagnosed with autism, and so much changed in a few years.

I guess what I’m saying is, write what you know, it may not seem like you’re writing like that, but you are. My stories are sci-fi, on another planet, fighting an intergalactic war, or a civil one, but I still see my story in them.

Paragon wings

Now that Ashen wings is over, it is time Paragon wings begins. The book will contain the following themes:

War, steam/magic tech, death, racial/territorial disputes, action, and existentialism. As it explores the consequences of time, it will dive into darker themes. 

Spoilery concept art after read more (Not fatal, but similar to GW’s original cover art)

As ALWAYS, expect themes of revenge. Chapters will be uploaded at least weekly.
